    Abstract: PURPOSE: To perform attack pitch control corresponding to a timbre by controlling characteristics of a modulating signal for the attack pitch control with attack pitch control data and modulating a musical signal with the modulating signal. CONSTITUTION: To perform the attack pitch control, an attack pitch modulating signal generating means 4 generates the modulating signal for modulation control over the pitch of the musical sound signal in the beginning of sounding. The characteristics of this modulating signal, e.g. a modulation frequency, depth, etc., are controlled with the attack pitch control data generated by an attack pitch control data generating means 5. The attack pitch control data are generated according to a timbre specified by a timbre specifying means 2. Thus, the modulating signal for the attack pitch control is generated with the characteristics corresponding to the timbre specified for the musical sound and the musical sound signal is modulated according to the modulating signal. Consequently, the attack pitch control corresponding to the timbre is performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To impose attack pitch control and delay vibrato control at the same time by starting the vibrato control over a musical sound signal a specific time after modulation control by an attack pitch control means ends according to the output of an attack pitch end detecting means. CONSTITUTION: When the attack pitch control is performed, the attack pitch control means 3 finishes the modulation control over the pitch of the musical sound signal generated by a musical sound signal generating means 2 in the beginning of sounding, which is detected by the attack pitch end detecting means. When delay vibrato control is performed, a delay vibrato control means 5 starts a delay time not immediately from the beginning of sounding, but when the end of the modulation control by the attack pitch control means 3 is detected. Then the vibrato control over the musical sound signal is started the specific delay time later. Consequently, the effects of both the attack pitch control and delay vibrato control can be given to the same sound securely distinctively.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To automatically grant pitch slide control like a slur according to a playing operation style by generating a musical sound signal having slur effect on the basis of the output of a slur means when legato type pressed key changing operation is detected corresponding to key data. CONSTITUTION: The slur means 8 performing control for gradually sliding the pitch of a generated sound from the pitch corresponding to key data on a musical sound stored in a storage means 3 to the pitch of a newly pressed key detected by a single key depression detecting means 2 according th the detection of the legato type depressed key changing operation by a legato new key-ON detecting means 5. Therefore, a musical sound generating means 9 normally generate a musical sound signal corresponding to key data detected by the single key depression detecting means 2 or the key data stored in the storage means 3, but when the legato type depressed key changing operation is detected, the musical sound signal given slur effect is generated on the basis of the output of the slur means 8. Consequently, the pitch slide control like a slur can automatically be granted according to a playing operation style on a keyboard.
