Abstract:
Compositions for the prevention and treatment of autoimmune diseases are provided which comprise as an active ingredient membrane material shed from autoimmune T lymphocytes, or activated T lymphocytes which are treated by a pressure application and release process. There is also provided processes for obtaining such active materials and for preparing pharmaceutical compositions containing them.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a lipid fraction (AL) derived from natural sources which can be used for in vitro and in vitro treatment of a variety of disorders. The lipid fraction contains 40-80 weight percent glycerides, 3-5 weight percent cholesterol, 10-30 weight percent lecithin (phosphatidyl choline), 5-15 weight percent phosphatidyl ethanolamine and 2-5 weight percent negatively charged phospholipids, wherein the ratio of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids is at least 1:1.

Abstract:
A special lipid mixture for membrane fluidization consisting essentially of about seven parts by weight neutral lipids and about three parts by weight phospholipids, the phospholipids consisting essentially of phosphatidyl choline and phosphatidyl ethanolamine, and the neutral lipids consisting essentially of glycerides.
