Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rapid increase of a pressure during starting of a refrigerating cycle and prevent breakage of piping of a refrigerating cycle and breakage of a component, the increase of the size of a relief valve, and worsening of cool down performance. SOLUTION: A control device has the refrigerating cycle comprising at least a compressor 2 capable of varying discharge capacity by regulating a control amount inputted from an external part and boosting a refrigerant to a super critical area; a radiator 3 to cool a refrigerant compressed by the compressor 2; an expansion device 5 to reduce the pressure of a refrigerant cooled by a radiator 4; and an evaporator 6 to evaporate a refrigerant decreased in a pressure by the expansion device 5. A control amount is regulated such that when it is decided that a thermal load is higher than a given load so that, through a lapse of a preset given time, a continuous change is effected from a stage that a discharge capacity of the compressor is minimized to a state that it is maximized.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid an increase in size of a relief valve or an expansion valve and to avoid deterioration of a cooling-down performance at a high load time by setting a sectional area of a channel to an optimum state at a fully opening time of an expansion unit or a relief unit of a refrigerating cycle and preventing a high pressure rise at a starting time of the cycle. SOLUTION: A supercritical refrigerating cycle comprises a compressor 2, a radiator 3, an expansion unit 5 and an evaporator 6. The refrigerating cycle also comprises an inlet side passage communicating with the radiator side through the unit 5, an outlet side passage communicating with the evaporator side and a valve disc for changing a communicating state of the inlet side passage with the outlet side passage. In the unit 5, when the sectional area S of the channel in a most throttled part at the fully opening time of the valve disc is calculated in terms of the sectional area of an orifice for obtaining pressure characteristics equivalent to those of the throttled part, a diameter D of the orifice is set to satisfy a relation of 1.5 mm

The relation among the minimum sectional area S1 of the passage running from the high pressure side connecting hole 83 to the crank chamber connecting hole 85 and the minimum sectional area S2 of the passage running from the crank chamber connecting hole 85 to the low pressure side connecting hole 72 are set, and the ratio R of S1 to S2 is determined to satisfy an inequality of 0.1 mm2

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration cycle employing refrigerant having a low critical point such as carbon dioxide CO2, in which stabilized cooling capacity is attained by improving an expansion unit to retard occurrence of intermittent cycle variation under low load regardless of the thermal load. SOLUTION: The expansion unit 5 in a refrigeration cycle is provided with a plurality of pressure reduction regulating valves 16, 17 for varying the conducting state between a high pressure side space 11 and a low pressure side space 12 and the opening characteristics is differentiated for the refrigerant pressure in the high pressure side space 11 by means of the pressure reduction regulating valves 16, 17. The opening characteristics may be differentiated by differentiating the kind or quantity of encapsulated fluid, the variation of valve opening per unit stroke, the force of a spring for urging valve discs 19, 22 in the closing direction or the pressure receiving area.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent breakdown of a header pipe and a heat exchanger, in turn by enhancing the withstand pressure strength of the header pipe and to attain lessening of the weight of the header pipe and space-saving of the heat exchanger, in the heat exchanger, which is used for heat exchange of a refrigerant (carbon dioxide or the like) usable in a supercritical region and requires pressure resistance. SOLUTION: This heat exchanger has an inflow-side header pipe, an outflow- side header pipe, at least one serpentine tube making these header pipes communicating with each other and fins interposed between tubes. In the part of the header pipe 2, 3 where a tube insertion hole 6 is formed, the sidewall is deformed in the direction where a distance between the wall and the place of the header pipe where the stress of the pipe concentrates is made short. In this case, a dimension t1 in the radial direction (the radial direction of the header pipe in the part, where the tube insertion hole is formed) in the part where the stress concentrates is made smaller than the dimension t2 in the radial direction perpendicularly intersecting the above radial direction.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the breakage of components, the deterioration of drivability, and the deterioration of cool down performance, by avoiding the sudden pressure rise at start of a freezing cycle. SOLUTION: This controller has a freezing cycle 1 which is equipped with at least a compressor 2 which can change the discharge capacity by adjusting the quantity of control to be inputted, from outside, and also can boost a refrigerant to a supercritical region, a radiator 3 which cools a refrigerant compressed with the compressor 2, an expander 5 which depressurizes the refrigerant cooled by this radiator 3, and an evaporator 6 which evaporates the refrigerant depressurized with this expander 5. In the case that the thermal load is judged to be not less than specified load, the controller regulates the quantity of control at start of the compressor 2 to the quantity to suppress the discharge capacity of the compressor 2 according to the thermal load, and starts and operates the compressor 2 for a prescribed time with the regulated quantity of control.

SOLUTION: An expansion device 5 of a refrigerant cycle has characteristics for reducing the fluctuation of an opening area for the pressure fluctuation of high-pressure space in an initial stage where a valve is lifted from a position in that the opening area of a communication path 14 becomes the minimum. A valve 17 may be formed in a shape having characteristics where the smaller the opening area of the communication path 14 becomes, the smaller the fluctuation of a valve travel for the pressure fluctuation of high-pressure space 11 becomes. Also, instead of the adjustment of the shape of the valve 17, the communication path 14 may be formed in a shape where the smaller the opening area of the communication path 14 becomes, the smaller the fluctuation of the valve travel becomes for the pressure fluctuation of the high-pressure space 11.

In such an accumulator 6, a heat exchange promoting means for promoting the heat exchange between the refrigerant, flowing into the casing 15 through the inflow pipe 17, and the liquid phase refrigerant L, received in the casing 15, is provided.
