An anti-foaming device (1) configured to reduce foaming of a fluid within a fluid reservoir (2, 3), the device including; a conduit (5) wherein the conduit (5) is in contact with at least a part of the exterior surface of the fluid reservoir (2, 3); a thermally conductive media wherein the media is past through the conduit (5); and, a heat transfer device; characterised in that the heat transfer device controls the temperature of the media within the conduit to hold the temperature of the fluid above or below a foaming temperature.

The invention relates to a milk separation device of a milking system for milking, in particular automated milking, of milk-producing animals. The milk separation device comprises a body, which has an inlet connection and an outlet connection, and a cover, which has a connection to a vacuum line. The body has an inwardly protruding balcony segment on an inner periphery, wherein the balcony segment forms a ramp helically in the peripheral direction so as to rise at a pitch angle with respect to the gravitational force of the earth.

Method for conveying a medium from a container into a tank and for determining the quantity of the medium, in which the medium is transported via a conveying device and a conduit and gas absorbed by the medium is separated, gas separation at least partly taking place in the tank and the filling level in the tank is measured by a filling level measuring device.

The inlet is further designed so that the inflowing product is distributed in fan-shape along the inside of the tank.
