Abstract: La presente invencion se refiere a un dispositivo de calentamiento para sumergirse adentro de un tanque de agua, para hervir el agua para producir vapor, y para supercalentar el vapor, el cual comprende una camisa externa (12); una camisa interna (14) parcialmente dispuesta a través de la camisa externa, y que tiene un extremo proximal y un extremo distal en la forma de una compuerta de salida (14C), definiendo además la camisa interna (14) una cámara de vapor (14A); un elemento de calentamiento (16) dispuesto adentro de la cámara de vapor y en comunicacion eléctrica con el suministro de energía eléctrico externo, adaptándose el elemento de calentamiento (16) para producir calor en respuesta a la energía eléctrica desde el suministro de energía; un tubo de entrada de vapor (26) que se extiende hacia afuera el tubo interno y en comunicacion de fluido con la cámara de vapor; y una válvula de una vía (22) dispuesta adentro de la cámara de vapor adyacente a la compuerta de salida (14C), adaptándose la válvula (22) para dar salida selectivamente al flujo de vapor desde adentro de la cámara de vapor a través de la compuerta de salida; en donde el dispositivo de calentamiento se configura para calentar el agua adentro del tanque hasta una ebullicion, para producir vapor, adaptándose el tubo de entrada de vapor (26) para dirigir el vapor hacia la cámara de vapor (14A), en donde el vapor se supercalienta a través del contacto directo con el elemento de calentamiento, produciendo vapor supercalentado, generando este vapor suficiente presion para abrir la válvula y salir del dispositivo de calentamiento a través de la compuerta de salida (14C).

Abstract: A water heater apparatus (27) is shown which includes a water heating tank (29) having generally cylindrical sidewalls with upper (31) and lower ends (33), each of which is closed by a transverse wall section (35) to define a closed tank interior. The tank also has a water inlet (41) and a water outlet (43). A plurality of vertically arranged fire tubes (45) are connected between the upper (35) and lower (37) transverse wall sections, each fire tube having an open interior for conducting products of combustion. A combustion chamber (53) is mounted on the upper end of the water heating tank for providing products of combustion to the open interiors of the fire tubes. A flue collector (63) is located at the bottom end of the tank for collecting and exhausting the products of combustion from the vertically arranged fire tubes. An induction blower (65) draws the products of combustion downwardly from the combustion chamber, through the fire tubes and out the flue collector for exhaustion from the apparatus. A specially designed burner (57) operates at lower pressure conditions and provides a low capacity airflow to the unit when the main induction blower is off to create a static condition and prevent condensation within the internal components of the apparatus.
