Abstract:
The invention relates to a cleaning device for cleaning the components in the cassette receiving area of a video playing recording unit. The device (1) comprises a housing (15) having a cleaning tape (26) wound about a pair of spools (24) and (25). A carrier member (28) pivotal in the housing (15) carries a brush (29) for cleaning engagement with a drum in the video unit. The cleaning tape (26) extends behind a bearing member (42) of the carrier member (28) and as the cleaning tape (26) is moved into cleaning engagement with the drum of the video unit the carrier member, and in turn the brush (29) are moved outwardly of the housing and the brush (29) engages the drum of the video unit.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A mechanism for intermittently wetting a cleaning tape (13) contained within a tape cassette housing (11) is located within the housing at a position along the tape path prior to the tape exit (14) in the direction of forward motion of the tape. The mechanism comprises a star wheel (21) rotatably mounted adjacent the inside surface (24) of the cleaning tape whose arms (23) are driven by friction with the tape to rotate the star wheel, and a lever (22) pivotted adjacent the same surface of the tape as the star wheel, the lever being intermittently deflected in a first direction of rotation by engagement with successive arms (23) of the star wheel as the star wheel rotates during forward motion of the tape. A wetting member (20) is mounted adjacent the outside surface of the tape opposite the lever, and each arm (23) of the star wheel during its engagement with the lever (22) effects sufficient deflection of the lever in the first direction of rotation that the lever bears against and deflects the tape (13) outwardly to such an extent that the outer surface of the tape is brought to bear against the wetting member (20). The lever (22) has sufficient resilience to permit each arm (23) to disengage the lever during further rotation of the star wheel (21) after the tape has been brought to bear on the wetting member, whereby the lever (22) returns in the opposite direction of rotation for re-engagement of the first portion by the next arm.
Abstract:
A cleaning device of a recording and/or reproduction apparatus using a magnetic tape as a recording medium and including a rotary head device having a rotary drum provided with magnetic heads. This cleaning device includes a cleaning member which comes into contact with the magnetic heads of the rotary head device and an operation mechanism which brings the cleaning member into contact with the magnetic heads while the rotary head device is rotating. The operation mechanism brings the cleaning member into contact with the magnetic heads while the rotary drum is rotating before the magnetic tape is loaded to the rotary head device by a tape loading mechanism, whereas it separates the cleaning member from the magnetic heads when the magnetic tape is loaded by the tape loading mechanism to the rotary head device. The magnetic head is cleaned whenever the magnetic tape is loaded.
Abstract:
A cleaning cassette for cassette tape recorders in which a gear wheel transmission (12 to 16) with one-way coupling devices provides for obtaining a correct cleaning function irrespective of which of the two hub means (10, 11) of the cassette is connected with the effective coil drive shaft and without establishing drive connection with the other hub means.
Abstract:
A cleaning device (1) for cleaning the elements in the tape path, such as the sound head and capstan, pinch roller of a cassette player recorder, the cleaning device (1) comprises a housing (2) with brush members (10, 11, 12) projecting from a front opening (7) to clean the elements. The brush members (10, 11, 12) are mounted on a support member (23) and carrier members (16). A drive means (14) drives the support member (23) with an oscillating action. The carrier members (16) are driven by the support member (23) so that oscillation of the support member (23) pivots the carrier members (16) inwardly and outwardly of the opening (7) so that the brush members (11, 12) wipe the other elements. A reciprocating member (55) driven by the drive means (14) intermittently rotates the feed spindle of the cassette player recorder.
Abstract:
This cleaner cartridge for cleaning read, record, entrainment and guide parts in audio, video, and magnetic tape apparata comprises a reservoir (2) for the special liquid or detergent incorporated in the cartridge and removable, assemblable, refillable or replaceable as required. This reservoir (2) is connectable to the cartridge body (3) in any fit and is formed preferably from a soft material in any color, also transparent.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A cleaning device for a cassette-type tape recorder wherein a cassette shell (1) is provided with a longitudinally reciprocating bar (25) adjacent the edge of the shell normally aligned with the heads of the recorder in use, the reciprocating bar being provided with a number of cleaning pads (19) which contact and clean the heads and drive rollers in the tape recorder in a reciprocating manner. In the preferred form of the invention three cleaning pads (19) are provided to clean the erase head, the record/playback head, and the capstan and pinch roller respectively. The bar is reciprocated by a cam drive (14, 15, 16) from a hub member (3) rotated by a drive spindle in the tape recorder. In the preferred form of the invention two hub members (3, 8) are provided, one being engaged with the forward take-up spindle and the other with the reverse take-up spindle of the tape recorder so that the cleaning device can operate either way up or in conjunction with an auto-reverse tape recorder regardless of the playing direction engaged.
