    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated polyester film for a metal laminate excellent in heat resistance, lamination properties, impact resistance and molding processability and suitable for a metal can, in particular an aluminum can. SOLUTION: The laminated polyester film is obtained by laminating a layer (B-layer) comprising polyester 3 with a melting point of 170-250°C on at least one surface of a polyester layer (A-layer) comprising a mixture of 70-20 wt.% of polyester with a melting point of 246-270°C and 30-80 wt.% of polyester with a melting point of 180-240°C.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated white polyester film for metal laminate which is excellent in laminating properties, wear resistance and molding processability, and also has a beautiful surface after being bonded with metal plates, particularly an aluminum plate and molded, and is suitable for metal cans, particularly an aluminum can. SOLUTION: The polyester film is obtained by laminating a layer (B-layer) made of polyester 3 using ethylene terephthalate and/or butylene terephthalate as a main repeating unit on at least one surface of a polyester layer (A-layer) which is prepared by mixing 80 to 20 wt.% of polyester 1 using ethylene terephthalate of a melting point at 246 to 270 deg.C as a main repeating unit and 20 to 80 wt.% of polyester 2 using butylene terephthalate of a melting point at 180 to 240 deg.C as a main repeating unit. The film has 30 to 55 mmol/kg of COOH terminal group amount and the laminated white polyester film for metal laminate is prepared by mixing the A-layer and/or the B-layer with a white pigment.

SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polyester film for the lid of the metal can is characterized in that this film is a polyester composed of a polyester A 60 to 95 wt.% having ethylene terephthalate and/or ethylene naphthalate as main constituents and a polyester B 5 to 40 wt.% having a glass transition temperature of 60 deg.C or below, the main melting point is 230 to 265 deg.C, and the plane orientation coefficient is 0.05 to 0.15.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition showing excellent laminating ability, impact resistance and a taste characteristic by mixing a non-crystalline or low crystalline polyester B with a crystalline polyester A, the weight ratio being specific, to give a polyester resin having a carboxy end group of not less than a specific amount. SOLUTION: A polyester resin M having not less than 25 equivalents/ton of a carboxy end group is obtained by mixing a non-crystalline or low crystalline polyester B with a crystalline polyester A, the weight ratio of A to B being 9/1 to 1/9. A polyester resin N made of a crystalline polyester C having a melting point of 245 to 280 deg.C is disposed at least on one side of the polyester resin M to give a laminated item. The crystalline polyester A is polyethylene terephthalate or the like or a copolymer thereof having a low copolymerization degree of not more than 15 mole % and a melting point of 200 to 280 deg.C. The non-crystalline polyester B is a polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate or the like which does not crystallize and contains a polymer having a copolymerization degree of not less than 25 mol%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biaxially oriented polyester film having pinhole-resistant characteristics which a biaxially oriented nylon film has and also having good moldability which a conventional biaxially oriented polyester film and the biaxially oriented nylon film have not. SOLUTION: This biaxially oriented polyester film comprises a resin component composed of (A) 55-95 wt.% resin having 240-265 deg.C melting point and comprising >=90 wt.% polyester component composed of ethylene terephthalate and/or ethylene naphthalate and (B) 5-45 wt.% resin having 185-235 deg.C melting point and comprising >=70 wt.% polyester component, and the polyester film has properties comprising (1) >=200 MPa loss modulus (E") at a peak temperature of β disperse and (2) >=140 MPa breaking strength of the film or (1') >=55% recovery factor of deformation of the film after 20% pulling at 0 deg.C and (2) >=140 MPa breaking strength of the film.
