Abstract: Various dispensing devices, such as foaming soap pumps, are disclosed. The soap pump can include a fluid storage unit and a fluid handling unit. The fluid storage unit can include a reservoir that is configured to hold a quantity of product, such as liquid soap. The fluid handling unit can include a pumping assembly and dispensing assembly. The soap pump can be configured to withdraw liquid soap from the reservoir, convert the liquid soap to foamed soap, and dispense the foamed soap from the discharge assembly.

Abstract: The sprayer includes a sprayer housing defining a chamber, and a cylinder within the chamber. The cylinder defines more than one discharge tube positioned in a longitudinal direction within the sprayer housing, the cylinder being selectively rotatable within the chamber. More than one suction tube extends from a lower portion of the sprayer housing. The more than one suction tube is in selective fluid communication with the more than one discharge tube of the cylinder, as the cylinder is rotated within the chamber. The foam sprayer attachment includes a major body defining a discharge channel and a screen traversing the discharge channel. The major body includes a base with a connecting structure that is a raised lip or a cut-out area that conforms the base to a raised ridge on a discharge connection of the sprayer. The connecting structure includes a pair of non-raised lips bracketing each connecting structure.

Abstract: A foam assembly connectable to a liquid container includes a main pump body, a resiliently deformable piston dome, an air chamber, a liquid chamber, a mixing zone and a porous member. The main pump body has an exit nozzle with the porous member therein. The air chamber and the liquid chamber are each defined by the piston dome and the main pump body. The liquid chamber has a liquid inlet valve and a liquid outlet valve. The mixing zone is in flow communication with the air chamber and the liquid chamber. The volume of the air chamber and the liquid chamber are each dependent on the position of piston dome and during an activation stroke the piston moves from the at rest position to the depressed position and responsively the volume of the air chamber and the volume of the liquid chamber are reduced.

Abstract: A nozzle assembly and method of forming an adjustable spray pattern nozzle assembly that is usable with pressure washing systems includes a first body and a second body that are positionally secured relative to one another. The first body includes a fixed shaped orifice that defines the exit of a fluid spray from the nozzle assembly. The second body is disposed upstream of the first body and includes a pressure dependent variable shape orifice. The second body is formed of a resilient material that allows flexure of the second body in response to pressure of the fluid flow. Flexure of the second body manipulates the shape of the variable shape orifice and thereby allows the nozzle assembly to provide various spray patterns without user manipulation of the nozzle assembly.

Abstract: A foam generation apparatus for attachment to a terminal portion of a liquid carrying fire hose, and including an outlet nozzle for delivering the liquid in a controllable manner, and which includes a nozzle body movably attached over a center nozzle stem to be manually positionable relative to the stem to allow the liquid to be discharged in a stream of liquid or a fanned spray of the liquid. An expansion chamber support is applied to the exterior of the nozzle body for retaining an elongated foam expansion chamber in a readily detachable manner. Air drawing channels are provided between the expansion chamber support and the expansion chamber to provide for air to be drawn into the expansion chamber from the back end thereof during foam generation. The air drawing channels are positioned in the back end of the expansion chamber adjacent the nozzle so that air is drawn in essentially the same direction as liquid being discharged from the nozzle, and thereby the air is drawn into the expansion chamber early and from the back of the chamber to give sufficient air volume and time for the air to mix with the liquid prior to exiting the elongated expansion chamber. The expansion chamber is readily detachable to allow use of the outlet nozzle in a lighter weight non-foam producing mode, and to allow use of a long expansion chamber relative to the adjustable spray nozzle.
