Abstract: The disclosure provides methods for preparing a plural component material where part A and part B supplies are delivered from unpressurized storage containers. In use, a continuous stream of high velocity air moves through the static mixing nozzle, and the material streams may be intermittently moved into the nozzle and aerated with an air supply to cause the A and B materials to be mixed with each other and moved with the air to form the plural component materials. The plural component materials are delivered from a static mixing nozzle at pressures of less than 300 psi. Spray guns configured for preparing the plural component materials are also disclosed. Polyurethane foams, polyurethane adhesives, and polyurea coatings prepared by the methods are further provided.

Abstract: A fluid ejector for ejecting discrete volumes of ejectant includes a body with opposing first and second surfaces. One or more nozzles are defined as conduits extending through the body between the surfaces to connect first and second orifices at the first and second surfaces respectively. The fluid ejector further includes a gas supply means having a gas outlet and an ejectant supply means. The ejectant supply means supplies the ejectant to the nozzles at a pressure above ambient via their supply orifices. The supply orifice is defined in a conduit's side or is the second orifice. Relative movement of the gas supply means and body exposes first orifices to the gas outlet allowing the gas supply means to supply gas at a pressure above ambient, wherein a pressure difference thereby created between the first and second orifices causes ejection of the ejectant from the nozzles through the second orifices.

Abstract: A spray gun includes a gun body and valves configured to control flow of material and air through the gun body. A trigger is mounted to the gun body and is disposed relative to the valves such that the trigger actuates the valves in sequence to begin air flow and material flow. A sensor senses when the trigger is in an actuated state and the sensor causes a pump to begin pumping material to the spray gun. Release of the trigger causes the trigger to leave the actuated state. A detent mechanism holes the trigger in a detent state intermediate the actuated state and a resting state. The sensor does not sense the trigger with the trigger in the detent state. The trigger maintains the valves open with the trigger in the detent state.

Abstract: A dual mode spray gun has a mixing valve with two inlets and two outlets. A handle assembly extending proximally from the valve couples the first inlet to pressurized water and provides means for manually starting and stopping flow. The second inlet draws detergent from a reservoir mounted to the valve. A barrel extending distally from the valve terminates at spray and foam ports connected respectively to the first and second outlets via first and second channels formed through the barrel, the second channel defining an aeration port upstream of the foam port. A mode switch on the mixing valve in a first position allows flow from the first inlet to the spray port, stops flow from the second inlet and stops flow to the foam port, and in a second position stops flow to the spray port and allows flow from the first and second inlets to mix and aerate en route to the foam port.

Abstract: A system and a method for generating a respirable dry powder aerosol (15) from a liquid solution or liquid suspension at a respirable dry powder aerosol volume flow (91). A liquid aerosol generating nozzle (3) generates from the liquid solution or liquid suspension a liquid aerosol (13) that is diluted by dilution gas (4) and dried in a cylindrical evaporation chamber (6) to generate a dry powder aerosol (14) that is subsequently concentrated. The system and method may include heliox as a gas, specifically dilution gas (4), for enhancing both the drying process in the cylindrical evaporation chamber (6) and for enhancing the concentration efficiency, but also as a nozzle gas (2) for enhancing generating the liquid aerosol (13) from the liquid solution or liquid suspension.

Abstract: An air passage and two lines of cleaning liquid paths are provided in a nozzle, and the air passage is bifurcated into two lines of distal end portions. A secondary tank is provided upstream of the cleaning liquid paths. A distal end portion of a cleaning liquid path and the distal end portion of the air passage are merged. When a compressed air is supplied to the air passage, the resulting air flow makes the inside of the secondary tank to be negative pressure. Thus, the cleaning liquid can be made into the form of a mist, and is suctioned, and the cleaning liquid in the form of a mist and the compressed air are mixed, whereby it is possible to clean a lens surface and to reduce the amount of cleaning liquid used.

Abstract: There is provided a flux applying method using a flux applying apparatus configured to jet and apply a flux to a target. The flux is supplied to a nozzle of the flux applying apparatus. A gas is applied to a foaming pipe with a porous filter included in the nozzle. The gas is jetted from the porous filter of the foaming pipe to the flux supplied to the nozzle, thereby jetting foamed flux to the target.

Abstract: A mobile spray dispenser comprises a fluid circulation system and a heating unit. The fluid circulation system has a motorized pump capable of circulating fluid from a fluid reservoir in a high-pressure spray mode and a low-pressure recirculation mode, and of providing the fluid to a sprayer. The motorized pump draws lower power in the low-pressure recirculation mode than in the high-pressure spray mode. The heating unit is disposed within the fluid circulation system to heat the fluid to a target temperature, and comprises a primary heater and a boost heater. The primary heater is configured to be active during both the high-pressure spray mode and the low-pressure recirculation mode. The boost heater is in fluid series with the primary heater, and is configured to be active only during the low-pressure recirculation mode.
