An object of the present invention is to provide a novel artificial slime-like polymer material capable of controlling flow characteristics without changing a chemical composition such as a main chain skeleton or a solvent constituting the polymer material.
[Solution]
It is found that a slime-like polymer material in which liquid-liquid phase separation is induced can be provided and fluidity of the polymer material can be controlled by adding a polymer that does not react with a polymer unit serving as a basic skeleton constituting the polymer material in addition to the polymer unit.-

Abstract: Water-based compositions that are resistant to dirt pickup, efflorescence, tannin bleed-through and surfactant leaching are described. The water-based composition includes a latex or water-dispersible polymer and a non-VOC UV-VIS (preferably, ultraviolet) absorber as a dirt pickup resistance additive. Methods of making water-based compositions including a non-VOC UV-VIS absorber as an additive are also described.

The cellulosic material is modified so that it can form strong gels when dispersed in aqueous solution. Abstract: Disclosed herein are an aqueous dispersion including cationic polyvinyl alcohol modified polymer particles, an aqueous electrocoating material containing the dispersion and a process to produce an at least partially coated substrate using the aqueous electrocoating material. The aqueous dispersion can be prepared by reacting an intermediate including at least one polyvinyl alcohol polymer chain with a compound including at least one epoxide group and a least two blocked primary amino groups. Aqueous coating compositions including the aqueous dispersion result in improved leveling properties during film formation as well as an improved edge protection of the substrate without negatively influencing the surface roughness and adhesion as well as the deposition properties.
