Abstract: Universal rotary actuators (URAs) and door assemblies having the URAs are disclosed. In some embodiments, the URA includes a motor, a worm gear driven by the motor, a worm wheel having teeth that mesh with threads of the worm gear, a pinion gear attached to the worm wheel, drive gear rotatably connected to the pinion gear, an output shaft attached to the drive gear, and a controller assembly disposed between the drive gear and the motor, the controller selectively controlling direction and speed of the motor. In some embodiments, the URA additionally includes a quick release assembly that moves the pinion gear between an engaged position in which the pinion gear is rotatably connected to the drive gear and a disengaged position in which the pinion gear is not rotatably connected to the drive gear.

Abstract: A sunroof structure of a vehicle includes at least one first mount for being mounted to a vehicle body of the vehicle, a window panel for being disposed to a hollow portion of the vehicle and having a main body and second and third mounts disposed on a bottom side of the main body, a transmission member including first and second rotational shafts rotatably disposed with the first and second mounts respectively and at least one crank connected with the first and second rotational shafts, and a link pivotally connected between the third mount and a pivot mount of the vehicle body. As a result, the window panel is drivenable to close or open the hollow portion. The sunroof structure greatly increases the open area of the hollow portion, and provides the side shielding function for the vehicle when the window panel is opened.

Abstract: A vehicle barrier gate system which is positioned above a roadway through which vehicles pass. Some of the various embodiments of the present disclosure include a gate comprised of an arm and barrier which is adjustable between a raised position in which a vehicle may pass and a lowered position in which a vehicle is prevented from passing. The gate may be movably connected to a ceiling or an overhead support structure positioned above the roadway. Various types of actuators may be utilized to adjust the gate along a linear and/or angular path between the raised and lowered positions. A control unit may be in communication with one or more sensors and/or an authorization system to control the actuator. The gate may include a breakaway mechanism which allows the gate to be manually raised or lowered in the event of actuator failure or a vehicle ramming through the gate.
