Abstract: A computerized method comprising acquiring an image of a physical environment comprising one or more physical entities, generating a virtual view based on the acquired image, and displaying the virtual view overlaid on the acquired image. The method further comprises receiving user input being indicative of a placement location within the virtual view, and receiving user input for creating a virtual bounding volume within the virtual view. The method further comprises manipulating the virtual bounding volume based on one or more intersections in 3D space between the virtual bounding volume and 3D data corresponding to the one or more physical entities, displaying the manipulated virtual bounding volume, and displaying at least one 3D object model that fits the manipulated virtual bounding volume.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system for authorizing access to one or more smart devices provided in a local environment is disclosed herein. The system comprises a client device, a local network node, and a remote network node. The remote network node is configured generate a link and send it to an address associated with a personal identifier of the client device, and in response to the client device having executed the link, the client device being configured to receive an authorization code. The authorization code is locally or remotely validated based on a challenge previously generated by the client device. An access token is generated and sent to the client device, thereby authorizing the client device access to the one or more smart devices in the local environment.

Abstract: A method (100) for controlling a plurality of devices (10) of a smart home system (20) is provided. The method (100) comprises: switching (S110) the smart home system (20) between a home mode (21) and an away mode (22); and upon the smart home system (20) being in the away mode (22), independently controlling (S140) a setting of each of the plurality of devices (10) based on a usage pattern (12) of the respective device (10); wherein the independently controlling (S140) a setting of each of the plurality of devices (10) comprises: for a specific device (10), determining (S141) a first point in time (31) to change a setting of the device (10) based on the usage pattern (12) of the device (10), wherein the first point in time (31) is limited to: any of a set of predetermined points in time during a day, and a point in time where the smart home system (20) is set in the away mode (22); calculating (S142) a second point in time (32) by adding a random offset in time to the first point in time (31); changing (S143) the setting of the device (10) at the second point in time (32); determining (S144) a stasis period (33) during which the setting of the device (10) should be maintained based on the usage pattern (12) of the device (10); and maintaining (S145) the setting of the device (10) for the stasis period (33). A smart home system (20) is also provided.

Abstract: A method for joining two objects by anchoring an insert portion provided on one of the objects in an opening provided on the other one of the objects. The anchorage is achieved by liquefaction of a thermoplastic material and interpenetration of the liquefied material and a penetrable material, the two materials being arranged on opposite surfaces of the insert portion and the wall of the opening. Before such liquefaction and interpenetration, an interference fit is established in which such opposite surfaces are pressed against each other, and, for the anchoring, mechanical vibration energy and possibly a shearing force are applied, wherein the shearing force puts a shear stress on the interference fit.
