A scroll-type compressor, while adopting an Oldham mechanism as a rotation prevention mechanism, lubricates an Oldham ring by retaining a medium mixed with oil on a back surface of an orbiting scroll and maintains a compression mechanism in a compact shape. The Oldham ring is provided between the orbiting scroll and a block which supports a drive shaft. An annular thrust race which receives a load in the axial direction from the orbiting scroll is sandwiched between a fixed scroll and the block. An end surface of the circumference of the orbiting scroll is brought into contact with the race, and the race is brought into contact with an end surface of the block to an area outside a pair of key groove portions formed on the block in the radial direction. A retention space, defined by the orbiting scroll, the race, and the block, retains the medium.

A cap assembly mounted on a neck of a container for containing a ingredient different from that in accommodated in a container comprises a cap body having an inner housing formed with a chamber for storage of a secondary ingredient and a working member adapted to open a low end opening of the chamber to allow the secondary ingredient in the chamber of the inner housing to be mixed with a primary ingredient in the container. The mixed ingredients may be discharged through an opening.

A method of forming a semiconductor device includes preparing a semiconductor substrate having a plurality of chips formed thereon and a scribe lane disposed between the chips, simultaneously forming a groove having a first depth in the scribe lane, and a through hole penetrating the chips and having a second depth. The chips are separated along the groove. The first depth is smaller than the second depth.

An adjustable mattress that incorporates a movement mechanism and support member inside of the foam mattress includes a fabric covering with a fastener member. The fastener member is used to keep a fitted sheet in place over the adjustable mattress when the mattress is adjusted to an inclined configuration. The fastener member is attached to the fabric covering near the lower edge of the adjustable mattress and is adapted to fasten to a corresponding fastener on the fitted sheet. The fastener member can be a toggle that fits through a loop on the fitted sheet. The fitted sheet also has an elastic band that draws the fitted sheet taut around the adjustable mattress. The lower portion of the fabric covering is made of stretchable fabric that stretches between the lower edge of the adjustable mattress and a balancing bar that supports the adjustable mattress when the adjustable mattress is inclined.

A remote control apparatus and method are provided for controlling an image forming device using wireless data communication by establishing a wireless connection with the image forming device. A wireless interface receives image data stored in a storage medium of an image forming device and transmits a signal requesting an activity for an image corresponding to the received image data, using wireless data communication. A display unit displays an image using the received image data, and a user input unit receives an activity to be performed. By displaying images stored in the image forming device, or an external storage medium, using the wireless remote control apparatus and allowing a user to select an image among the displayed images and request the image forming device to perform an activity, such as a printing or editing activity, a specific activity can be requested from the image forming device without spatial limitation.

Systems are provided for adjusting a keyboard or a touch screen in a handheld device. A user may configure the handheld device to automatically shift to a pre-determined location in the handheld device. The handheld device may implement software that records keystrokes. Based on the majority of keystrokes determined from each hand, the keyboard may shift to the hand with the majority of keystrokes. The handheld device may implement a sensory mechanism that records touches on the handheld device. Based on the touches, the keyboard in the handheld device may shift to or away from the hand touching the handheld device or the hand recording the majority of touches on the handheld device.
