Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform early measurement report (EMR) measurements for a first set of carriers in an EMR time window. The UE may perform at least one verification operation for the EMR measurements based at least in part on at least one carrier measurement in a verification time window. The UE may transmit, to a network node, measurement results associated with the EMR measurements for one or more carriers in the first set of carriers based at least in part on the at least one verification operation. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may identify a relay pairing between a user equipment (UE) and a relay UE. The base station may additionally identify a configuration of the relay UE based on a handover decision associated with the relay pairing. The base station may indicate, to the UE, the configuration of the relay UE, an identifier of the relay UE, and that the UE is to switch to a sidelink communications link with the relay UE. The UE may then establish the sidelink communications link with the relay UE and may indicate, to the relay UE, that the sidelink communication link is for a handover associated with the relay pairing. Based on receiving the indication that the sidelink communication link is for the handover associated with the relay pairing, the relay UE may perform a connection setup procedure with the base station.

Abstract: Dynamic grants (DG) for retransmission by a user equipment (UE) use the communication resource more efficiently while configured grants (CG) for retransmission by the UE reduce overhead and latency. A base station (BS) uses radio resource control signaling to configure the UE with a retransmission timer or without a retransmission timer. The BS transmits to the UE a set of CG configurations configuring a set of configured grant uplink (CG-UL) processes. The set of CG configurations includes information indicating whether or not a cg-RetransmissionTimer is associated with the CG-UL processes. The BS is also configured to receive communication on UL from the UE. The communication from the UE is received based on the set of CG-UL processes and the indication whether or not a cg-RetransmissionTimer is associated with the CG-UL processes. A UE may have different channel conditions for a plurality of CG-UL processes of the UE and therefore using a combination of CG based retransmission and DG based retransmission will reduce latency and reduce overhead and use the resource more efficiently.

A UE and a PN may each establish a first connection with an AN and, based on the first connections with the AN, establish a second connection with each other. Based on a bearer configuration, the UE may determine whether to route data to the PN via the first connection with the AN or directly to the PN via the second connection with the PN. Accordingly, the UE may transmit the data to at least one of the AN or the PN based on the determination of whether to route the data to the PN via the first connection with the AN or directly to the PN via the second connection with the PN.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for communicating using sidelink resources allocated in an unlicensed spectrum. A method that may be performed by a first UE includes receiving one or more transmissions from a second UE on one or more sidelink sub-channels spanning one or more resource block (RB) sets of an unlicensed spectrum occupied by the second UE for a channel occupancy time (COT) and transmitting, to the second UE, feedback information corresponding to the one or more received transmissions on a feedback channel based on a mapping between the one or more sidelink sub-channels and the feedback channel that confines the feedback channel to at least the one or more RB sets and one or more guard bands between the one or more RB sets of the unlicensed spectrum occupied by the second UE for the COT.
