Abstract:
An actuating arrangement and method for opening and closing a hinged motor vehicle panel utilizes a controllable fluid drive and an uncontrolled fluid drive. The hinged motor vehicle panel is driven during opening from a starting position to a predetermined opening angle by the controlled fluid drive and, after reaching the predetermined angle of opening, is driven into its final position exclusively by the uncontrolled fluid drive.
Abstract:
A hinge for a vehicle lid includes a main biasing element operable to urge the hinge into an open position, and a mechanism for assisting the initial opening of the hinge from a closed position. The mechanism includes a rotary cam engagable with another portion of the hinge to provide assistance, and a further biasing element which acts on the cam to rotate it relative to the other portion of the hinge. A lifting aid includes a main biasing element for attachment between a lid and a body, which lid is pivotally moveable towards and away from the body. The main biasing element is operable to urge the lid from a closed position relative to the body to an open position. The lifting aid further has a cam attachable to the body for relative rotation thereto and a further biasing element for attachment between the body and the cam and operable to rotate the cam relative to the body and lid. The cam is operable to assist the initial opening of the lid.
Abstract:
A four bar link is provided between a walled cargo area of a truck and a rigid rear cargo door. The effective length of the lower link of the four bar linkage is longer than that of the upper link such that the motion of the door is generally up and over the top of the truck body. An eccentric cam is joined to the upper link with a tensioned spring extending around the cam such that the spring slackens as the door opens. The cam is configured so that, as the door is opened, the spring slackens more slowly initially then more quickly. This allows the door to be moved initially mostly outwardly before moving significantly upwardly and still be effectively counterbalanced throughout its motion.
Abstract:
An opening and closure device for a sliding door, comprising a first driving motor for moving first driving elements associated with the sliding door and second sliding and guiding means interposed between the sliding door and a fixed frame. Said device has a second auxiliary motor that is suitable to produce a first opening movement of the door.
Abstract:
A roof window whose installed frame has upper and lower horizontal members and obliquely sloping side members has a casement attached to the upper frame member by two links fastened by fixed pivot pins to the respective center portions of the side rails of the casement and to the two ends of the upper frame member. Slides on the side rails slide along the side members of the frame when the links pivot on the upper frame member while the casement pivots on the links. The casement may be locked to the links for joint movement about the pivot pins on the upper frame member toward and away from the closing position of the casement in which the casement closes the opening bounded by the members of the frame. The slides abuttingly engage the side members of the frame in the closing position of the casement and move away from the frame members when the casement swings jointly with the links away from the closing position.
Abstract:
A vehicle sliding door device includes at least one sliding door which can be moved in a movement direction or a pivoting and sliding door which can be pivoted in a pivoting direction and which can be moved in a movement direction relative to a door frame that has a door opening, and a locking device for locking the at least one sliding door at least in the closed position that includes an emergency unlocking device, by which the at least one sliding door which is locked in the closed position can be unlocked in the event of an emergency. An emergency opening device is provided for at least partly opening the at least one sliding door or the pivoting and sliding door in the event of an emergency in an emergency unlocking state.
Abstract:
A partial-opening device for a motor-vehicle door element, having an electric drive, an actuating element, more particularly a pushing element which acts the door element, wherein the actuating element can be moved by means of the electric drive and by means of a gearing arranged between the electric drive and the actuating element, such that the door element can be at least partially opened by means of the actuating element, and wherein the gearing has a drive lever, which is disposed on an outer end of the actuating element, which outer end is associated with the door element.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a cooking appliance. In the cooking appliance, a control panel opening and closing the front surface of an electronic component space opens the front surface of the electronic component space while swiveling downward, and opens the front surface of the electronic component space while being unfolded forward.
Abstract:
A hinge system for a laptop computer is disclosed, the hinge system comprising first and second hinges that are tied together using a spring wire. The first and second hinges each have a display portion attached to a laptop computer display and a base portion attached to the laptop computer base. The spring wire is affixed to the display portion of the first hinge and the base portion of the second hinge, and is preloaded so that the laptop computer display opens automatically away at least partially away from the laptop computer base.
Abstract:
A satellite dispenser is disclosed. In various embodiments, a satellite dispenser as disclosed herein includes a dispenser body defining an interior cavity configured to receive a payload; and a composite guide rail comprising a groove configured to receive at least a portion of a payload, the composite guide rail having an orientation that substantially aligns a longitudinal axis of the groove with an ejection axis of the dispenser.
