Abstract: A vehicular charge port closure system includes a cover panel disposed at a vehicle and an actuator. The actuator includes an electrically operable motor that, when electrically operated to move the cover panel between a closed position and an opened position, drives gears to impart movement of an output element. The output element is connected to the cover panel. A clutch is disposed between one of the gears and the output element. When the motor is operated to drive the gears, the clutch is engaged to move the cover panel, and when the cover panel is manually moved, the clutch is disengaged. The clutch includes a magnetic biasing element.

Abstract: A one-way speed limiter includes a first housing including an inner surface. defining a speed limiter receiving zone. A ball housing including a ball member is rotatably supported in the speed limiter receiving zone. The ball member selectively engages the stop feature. A friction clutch is disposed between the ball housing and the first housing. The friction clutch selectively retards rotation of the ball housing. A motor shaft is selectively rotatably connected to the ball housing. The motor shaft including a first end supported at the ball housing and a second end. The motor shaft is rotatable relative to the ball housing in a first direction and selectively rotatably constrained relative to the ball housing in a second direction to selectively engage the friction clutch.

Abstract: A clutch mechanism comprising: a first connection for coupling the clutch mechanism to a motor shaft; a second connection for coupling the clutch mechanism to a driven element; a ratchet having a plurality of notches; a pawl body having pivotally mounted thereon a plurality of pawls; each of the plurality of pawls having a respective lobe for engaging with a respective one of the plurality of notches; and one or more resilient elements for biasing the plurality of pawls into engagement with the plurality of notches; wherein a first set of the plurality of pawls inhibits decoupling of the pawl body from the ratchet in a first rotation direction and a second set of the plurality of pawls inhibits decoupling of the pawl body from the ratchet in a second rotation direction, such that the second rotation direction is opposite to the first rotation direction.

Abstract: A vehicular opening/closing body control device includes a braking controller configured to apply a braking force to an opening/closing body, a full-closing detection unit configured to detect that the opening/closing body is in a fully-closed state, and a failure detection unit configured to detect failure of a latch mechanism provided on the opening/closing body. The latch mechanism is provided with a pawl switch, which is switched between ON and OFF states in conjunction with operation of a pawl. The failure detection unit detects, based on the ON and OFF states of the pawl switch, occurrence of an engagement failure in which the latch mechanism fails to hold the opening/closing body in the fully-closed state. The braking controller executes braking control for applying the braking force to the opening/closing body when the engagement failure is detected in the latch.
