    Abstract: A window-actuator drive unit includes a driving disk, which is rotatably supported on an axle of the gear housing. The driving disk is placed in a rotational-slave relationship with the worm gear of a reduction gearing which is connected on the load side to an electric drive motor. The driving disk is connected to the worm gear by way of a damping separator and on its unattached end is a shaft collar which has outer teeth used for an interlocking, rotational-slave relationship either with a cable pulley of a cable window actuator or the driving pinion of an arm or scissors-type window-actuator. The inner teeth of both the cable pulley and the driving pinion correspond to the outer teeth of the shaft collar.

    Abstract: A safety system is disclosed for universal attachment to existing garage door openers. A transmitter of infrared energy transmits a beam laterally of the door opening to detect any obstruction to door closing movement. A safety control circuit is adapted for connection to the main control circuit of the existing garage door opener, the existing push button switch is disconnected from the main control circuit and connected to the new safety control circuit, a flexible cable or cord is connected for actual movement in accordance with movement of the door and is connected to the safety control circuit at a reel on which the cord is wound, and the safety control circuit determines if there is actual door movement and actual door closing movement, as well as being responsive to an obstruction to door closing movement to apply a signal to stop the door and then apply another signal to start the door in its opening movement.

    Abstract: A door operator for a slide door that is slidingly supported relative to a door opening in a side panel of a vehicle body is disclosed. The door is supported adjacent its forward end on at least one forward guide member and is supported adjacent its rear end on a rear guide member. The guide members guide the door through (i) an initial closing movement generally parallel to the side panel, (ii) a final closing movement generally parallel to the side panel, (iii) at least a portion of its final closing movement generally toward the plane of the door opening, and (iv) at least a portion of its initial opening movement generally away from the plane of the door opening. The door operator comprises means including a first cable member coupled to the rear end of the door and a second cable member coupled to the forward end of the door for driving the door along the guide members to thereby move the door through its initial and final opening and closing movements. When used as part of a system, the powered sliding door operating system also includes a clamping means including a rotatable striker plate mounted on the vehicle body and having an eccentrically mounted striker pin thereon engagable by a latch bolt member on the door for clamping the door to the vehicle body with the door in a finally closed position in the door opening.

    Abstract: A retraction device for automatically closing a panel, such as a door or window, after the panel has been opened. The retraction device includes a drum, a coiled spring power assembly for driving the drum, a centrifugal brake for controlling the power assembly and the drum to eliminate slamming of the panel during closing, and a gear train transmission assembly to connect the power assembly and the centrifugal brake. In one embodiment, the drum is a spool which carries a cable to connect the panel to the retraction device. In another embodiment, the drum has a rim which frictionally engages a frame supporting the panel. The centrifugal brake is adjustable to take into account a wide range of panel sizes and frictional conditions. This adjustment can be made through an aperture in the device's housing for quick and easy on-site installation. A one-way clutch mechanism is coupled between the power assembly and the brake to actuate the brake only when the panel is being retracted. This clutch mechanism is formed by two members, each of which is integrally molded of plastic.

    Abstract: A panel device (10), particularly a roof light for a recreational vehicle, comprises an at least substantially polygonal frame (11, 12) which surrounds an opening (15).     Abstract: The present invention relates to a sectional lifting door system. When the system is in normal operation, a door operator drives a cable drum to wind or unwind a cable for lifting or lowering slats. During a process of lowering the slats, if the slats is stopped or slowed unexpectedly (e.g. the slats hit an obstacle below), the door operator is disconnected from a shaft automatically. At this time, even if the door operator is still activated, the shaft does not rotate, the cable drum does not unwind the cable so that a certain tension force can be maintained on the cable and that the cable is prevented from loosening from the drum, thereby preventing the slats from falling off. Also, it can avoid the situation that the weight of the slats is completely applied to the obstacle because the cable drum continuously unwinds the cable.
