Abstract:
A wireless foot control apparatus allows an operator to control multiple medical devices during an endoscopic medical procedure. The apparatus comprises a control console with controls designed for foot operation to control various medical devices. The controls include one or more foot pedals and foot switches to control the devices, including a selection switch to allow selection of the device to be controlled at a particular time. The console transmits signals over a wireless medium, to cause a remote receiver unit to select the device to be controlled and to control the selected device over a wired medium, in response to operation of the foot controls. The console may include a rechargeable battery, which may be sealed within the console's housing and charged inductively when the console is placed in a charging station. The receiver unit and the charging station can be separate units or integrated within a single housing.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a method for changing a graphical user interface is provided. The method may include identifying one or more devices. The method may include determining product information associated with the one or more devices, whereby the product information includes at least one of a type, a model number, and a brand. The method may include determining one or more applications associated with the one or more devices based on the product information, whereby the one or more applications allow for operation of the one or more devices. The method may include retrieving the one or more applications. The method may include determining that the computer is oriented toward a first device of the one or more devices. The method may include displaying a first graphical user interface corresponding to a first application of the one or more applications that allows for operation of the first device.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a method and an apparatus for controlling a smart device. The method includes: when a first hand gesture is detected, preparing to switch a control relationship according to the first hand gesture and a first mapping relationship, the first mapping relationship including a corresponding relationship between hand gestures and respective control functions; when a second hand gesture is detected, determining a target controlled device according to the second hand gesture and a second mapping relationship, the second mapping relationship including a corresponding relationship between hand gestures and locations of respective controlled devices; establishing a first control relationship with the target controlled device; acquiring a third hand gesture; and controlling, according to the third hand gesture and the first mapping relationship, the target controlled device to perform an operation corresponding to the third hand gesture.
Abstract:
An information device is disclosed that makes it possible to simplify the operation of a user in selecting a device to be operated from among a plurality of controlled devices without any cost increase. In this device, a reception frequency indicating section instructs a frequency synthesizer to perform demodulation at a first frequency (5 GHz) first. The reception frequency indicating section instructs the frequency synthesizer to perform demodulation at a second frequency (920 MHz) when instructed from a user to select another controlled device while a menu button indicating all the controlled devices whose ID information has been detected is displayed.
Abstract:
A mobile device includes a position sensing unit, a remote control information obtainment unit, and a storage unit. Position information obtained by the position sensing unit is stored in the storage unit in association with remote control information. The mobile device further includes a directional space obtainment unit and an apparatus specification unit. The mobile device recognizes a direction pointed by a user using the mobile device, and enables operation of a terminal apparatus existing in the pointing direction.
Abstract:
A universal remote controller and a remote control method thereof are provided. The universal remote controller includes a communication module which communicates with a plurality of devices; an input unit through which a user command is input; and a controlling unit which determines a pointed device, among the plurality of devices, that the universal remote controller is pointing towards, and controls the communication module to transmit the user command to the pointed device to control the pointed device.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit; a camera; a display; an ultrasound transmission unit; and a controller configured to control the wireless communication unit, the camera, the display, and the ultrasound transmission unit. The mobile terminal is configured to: transmit a first detection prepare request signal to allow a plurality of external devices located within a control area to switch to a prepare state; acquire an image including at least one of the plurality of external devices that switches to the prepare state; selectively transmit an ultrasound signal to the at least one of the plurality of external devices included in the image; receive associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices; and display a graphic image related to the associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices.
Abstract:
A first remote control application is configured to cause a smart device to transmit at least one command for controlling at least one functional operation of a controllable appliance in response to a user interface element of the smart device being activated while a second remote control application of a bridge device is configured to cause the bridge device to transmit at least one command for controlling at least one functional operation of the controllable appliance in response to receiving at the bridge device the at least one command transmitted from the smart device. The at least one command is transmitted from the smart device using a first transmission protocol and the at least one command is transmitted from the bridge device using a transmission protocol recognized by the controllable appliance.
Abstract:
A device includes a sound wave reception unit that receives a sound wave output from a mobile device, through a sound wave reception device; a control information acquisition unit that acquires control information associated with operation of the device from the received sound wave; and an operation performance unit that performs the operation based on the control information. The control information acquisition unit determines a frequency band, to which at least one frequency identified from a certain frame within the received sound wave corresponds, from an audible sound wave frequency band and a non-audible sound wave frequency band, and partial information based on the frequency band and the at least one identified frequency, and acquires control information corresponding to the received sound wave based on each of the determined partial information.
