Abstract: This disclosure relates to speakers and more specifically to an array speaker for distributing music uniformly across a room. A number of audio drivers can be radially distributed within a speaker housing so that an output of the drivers is distributed evenly throughout the room. In some embodiments, the exit geometry of the audio drivers can be configured to bounce off a surface supporting the array speaker to improve the distribution of music throughout the room. The array speaker can include a number of vibration isolation elements distributed within a housing of the array speaker. The vibration isolation elements can be configured reduce the strength of forces generated by a subwoofer of the array speaker.

Abstract: A game surface, such as a top surface of a cornhole game, can be configured to produce a sound by using a sound system mounted on an underside of the cornhole platform. The sound system can use one or more exciters to produce sound through the top surface of each of the two cornhole platforms used for game play. In some embodiments, a communication protocol may link the two sound systems, in each of the two cornhole platforms, so that each platform generates the same sound from a single source. The sound system may be easily retro-fitted to existing cornhole game platforms or may be formed during manufacture thereof.

Abstract: A circuit and method for an audio op-amp that is configured to minimize crossover distortion between push and pull components of the audio op-amp. The audio op-amp includes an input stage that receives differential input signals and generates an output that amplifies the difference between the input signals. The audio op-amp further includes an output stage that receive the amplified signal and generate an audio output signal for playback by a speaker system. The output stage includes a diamond driver circuit that buffers the input stage from the speaker system, a boost circuit that includes a pair of boosting transistors that amplify the current of the amplified signal, and a biasing circuit that provides bias currents to the transistors of the boost circuit in a manner that minimizes crossover distortion between the boosting transistors.

Abstract: A carbon nanotube thermophone is provided. The thermophone includes high temperature rated shells as protective walls as the top and bottom housing of the thermophone with carbon nanotube sheets affixed between the shells. The shells act as acoustic windows that match the surrounding frequency and acoustic radiation medium. A high temperature rated sealant gasket is used to enclose the shells of the thermophone where gas holes are inserted for interior heavy gas filling. The acoustic resonant frequency is defined by the dimensions of the housing of the thermophone and the sound speed of the filled heavy gas. Each carbon nanotube sheet has an electrode at both ends. Multiple carbon nanotube sheets can electrically tune the impedance to match a driving amplifier impedance load.

Abstract: A sound masking system includes a self-amplified loudspeaker emitter unit, with a driver and enlarged ported enclosure, sufficient to provide a frequency range down to a low frequency, such as about 125 Hz. To deliver the power, the power distribution architecture includes audio power amplifiers in the emitter housing of each loudspeaker. Raw power is delivered to each emitter unit through a cable and connectors, such as an Ethernet cable and connectors, in the same cable with the sound masking and audio signals. Inside the emitter units are electronics that efficiently convert the raw power and low level signal to drive the loudspeaker directly. The power comes from a typical desktop power supply, from which the power is combined with the sound masking and audio signals using a power injector unit that distributes the combined power and signals to loudspeakers. The loudspeakers can connect to an individually addressed sound masking network.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an integrated karaoke device, including a microphone and a sound box. The sound box includes a sound chamber (400) containing a loudspeaker (500). The integrated karaoke device further includes a connecting part (100) made of flexible material that is fixedly connected between a bottom of the microphone and a top of the sound chamber (400). The use of a flexible material connecting part (100) rather than a solid structural part reduces the transmission to the microphone of sound vibration generated by the sound box. The beneficial effect of implementing the present invention is that a flexible material connecting part is fixedly connected between the bottom of the microphone and the top of the sound chamber, and meanwhile, a gap is kept between the bottom of a printed circuit board (PCB) and the top of the sound chamber; and because the flexible material connecting part can effectively reduce sound vibration, the transmission of vibration to the microphone from the sound box can be effectively eliminated, thereby preventing squealing, and enabling integration of the microphone and the sound box for use in karaoke.
