Abstract:
The food-coating device comprises a drum, a rolling stand, and a motor. The drum may apply a breading mixture to a plurality of food items. The plurality of food items and the breading mixture may be placed within the drum. The drum may be spun by the motor to tumble the plurality of food items and the breading mixture such that the plurality of food items are coated with the breading mixture. The drum and the motor may be supported by the rolling stand. A door may pivot open to provide access to the interior of the drum. A door gasket may seal the door when the door is closed.
Abstract:
A coating method for coating parts in a dip-spin process is provided. The parts to be coated are dipped into a coating liquid and then centrifuged in at least one planetary basket arrangement in a planetary centrifuge. The planetary centrifuge includes a main rotor rotating about a main rotor axis of rotation and at least one planetary basket arrangement rotates about its planetary axis of rotation. Also, the planetary axis of rotation is arranged eccentrically on the main rotor. The at least one planetary basket arrangement can include a plurality of planetary baskets rotatably arranged about the planetary rotation axis of the at least one planetary basket arrangement and the planetary basket arrangement is rotated during a centrifuging operation.
Abstract:
A device for coating material with resin and subsequently laying the material saturated with the resin onto a surface, the device comprising a vessel for retaining the resin, the vessel having a slot sized and configured so that the material is passable through the slot after being coated with resin retained in the vessel, and a first and a second roller being arranged on either side of the slot or behind the slot.

Abstract:
A device comprises a cylinder and a tank. The cylinder includes a first disc and a second disc, multiple struts arranged orthogonally between the first disc and the second disc, and a plurality of walls, parallel to the first disc and the second disc. The struts generally form a circumference with spaces between each of the struts along the circumference; the walls extend through the space between the struts and beyond the circumference of the struts; and the walls form a plurality of tracks around the circumference of the struts. An axle extends orthogonally between the first disc and the second disc, and at least a portion of the cylinder rotates about the axle. The tank includes a basin to hold a liquid solution. When a catheter is wound around the cylinder, the rotation of the cylinder causes the catheter to be coated in the liquid solution from the basin.
Abstract:
A drum-type coating apparatus for applying breading material to food product is configured to eliminate, in most circumstances, a hard cylindrical drum, to be replaced by a U-hanging belt, the belly of which provides all the operative utility of a cylindrical hard drum, but better than that, provides more clearance for cleaning operations, since the upper hemi-cylinder of a hard cylindrical drum provides no utility for tumbling purposes and only, to make matters worse, obstructs cleaning operations. Also, the overall coating apparatus for supporting the U-hanging belt, flexible drum is provided with provisions for the exchangeable substitution or elimination of accessories of the tumbling and/or flipping nature, including the U-hanging belt, flexible drum itself. In the elimination configuration, food product is not routed through any tumbling and/or flipping accessory but is instead run through a flat bed configuration. That way, delicate food product is protected from disintegration.
Abstract:
A partition portion includes a proximal portion fixed to the outer periphery of the peripheral wall portion and a sealing member mounted to the proximal portion in a manner that the sealing member is allowed to move in inner and outer circumferential directions of the peripheral wall portion. When receiving a force toward an outer circumferential direction, the sealing member is moved in the outer circumferential direction, and a distal end portion thereof is held in press-contact with a sliding contact portion of a ventilation member with a force generated along with the above-mentioned force.
Abstract:
A method for processing of granules, by forming at least one injection zone in a fluidized bed where a feed stream of seed particles is contacted or coated by a liquid product by simultaneous injection of the feed stream of the seed particles and a feed stream of the liquid product, forming at least one granulation zone in the fluidized bed where the contacted or coated seed particles may be at least one of dried, shaped, and cooled to form granules, extracting the granules from the at least one granulation zone and sorting the extracted granules into undersize granules, on-size granules, and oversize granules, passing the on-size granules to post-processing treatment, removing the oversize granules, and passing the undersize granules back into the feed stream of the seed particles, wherein the extracted granules are made to pass through at least one classifier located in the at least one granulation zone.

Abstract:
Apparatus is disclosed for controlling the depth of a layer of a layer of adhesive on a peripheral surface of a rotary member (e.g., a wheel) for the application of the adhesive to an object. The apparatus comprises a heated reservoir containing a supply of hot melt adhesive maintained within a desired temperature range, where the rotary member is partially immersed in the adhesive and is rotated by a motor such that the as the rotary member is rotated up out of the peripheral surface of the rotary member has the layer of adhesive thereon. A computer controls system controls the motor such that the speed of the rotary member may be increased or decreased so as to vary the depth of the adhesive on the peripheral surface of the rotary member.
