    Abstract: A cable assembly is disclosed. The cable assembly includes a printed circuit board (PCB) including a plurality of alternating ground pads and groups of signal pads, and a cable comprising a plurality of spaced apart differential pairs. Each differential pair defines a stripped section and an unstripped section, and the stripped sections terminate at corresponding signal pads of a corresponding group of signal pads of the PCB. An electrically conductive shield includes a cover portion disposed on and covering at least a portion of the unstripped sections of the insulated conductors and a plurality of spaced apart walls. Each wall is disposed between the stripped sections of the insulated conductors of two adjacent differential pairs and extending from the cover portion to, and making electrical contact with, a corresponding ground pad disposed between the groups of signal pads corresponding to the adjacent differential pairs.

    Abstract: An electronic assembly according to an embodiment includes: a circuit board including a first edge surface and a trace having an electrical conductivity; an electronic element including a lateral edge spatially spaced apart from the first edge surface, and mounted on the circuit board and electrically connected to the trace; a protection layer including a second edge surface and disposed on the electronic element to substantially cover the electronic element; a magnetic field shielding film including a third edge surface and disposed on the protection layer; and a first metal layer. The first edge surface connects a main top surface of the circuit board and a main bottom surface of the circuit board, the second edge surface connects a main top surface of the protection layer and a main bottom surface of the protection layer, and the third edge surface connects a main top surface of the magnetic field shielding film and a main bottom surface of the magnetic field shielding film, and the first edge surface, the second edge surface, and the third edge surface are substantially aligned with one another to form a coupling edge surface which is substantially planar. In addition, the first metal layer is disposed on the magnetic field shielding film, and covers the main top surface of the magnetic field shielding film and the coupling edge surface.

    Abstract: An intumescent article includes intumescent material including 50-92 wt-% graphite and 8-50 wt-% binder, and may have a free expansion ratio of 100× or greater and a free expansion aspect ratio of 1.0 or less. The intumescent article may be a sheet, and may be L-shaped, rectangle, triangle, or other shape. The intumescent article may have a 3D shape. The intumescent article may be an insert for an electrical box, having a surface area 75% or less of the surface area of the electrical box back wall. The intumescent sheet has a mass, and the ratio of the mass to the volume of the electrical box may be 3 g/100 cm3 or less. A method of making an intumescent article includes mixing from 50-92 wt-% graphite with 8-50 wt-% binder on a dry weight basis to form a mixture, pressing or molding the mixture into a shape and drying the shape.

    Abstract: At least some embodiments of the present disclosure an electrostatic sheet jamming device comprising a first sheet having a first conductive layer, a first dielectric layer disposed adjacent to the first conductive layer, and a second sheet comprising a second conductive layer and disposed proximate to the first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer is disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The first sheet and the second sheet are non-extensible and flexible, wherein the first sheet and the second sheet are slidable relative to each other in a first state. The first sheet and the second sheet are jammed with each other in a second state when a voltage is applied between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer.     Abstract: The present disclosure provides abrasive articles that include an abrasive layer having a contact surface, a first layer coupled to the abrasive layer, and a second layer coupled to the first layer. The first layer is configured to provide contact pressure to the abrasive layer, such as through a higher hardness than the second layer. The second layer is configured to provide conformability to the abrasive layer, such as through a higher compressibility than the first layer. The resulting abrasive articles may exert a consistent contact pressure against a substrate with increased conformability around the substrate, reduced hysteresis, improved removal rate consistency, and/or improved lifetime over abrasive articles that do not use the multiple layer construction described above.
