Abstract:
The invention is directed to a light module, which allows the individual lamp unit to be replaced with a new one and the luminance of the newly-replaced lamp unit can be automatically or manually adjusted to get a uniform luminance. Wherein, information of a first relation table of a lamp luminance versus a using time and a second relation table of the lamp luminance versus an operation current-power is used to determine the current power. In addition, a clocking unit is used to count a total using time for the light module. Then, a desired lamp luminance according to the first relation table can be determined, and then the current power is determined according to the second relation table.
Abstract:
A wavelength converting substance comprises a wavelength converting material particle and a transparent layer on the wavelength converting material particle. The wavelength converting substance is a material possessing both wavelength converting and light scattering properties. Thus, when the wavelength converting substance is used in a light emitting device, the brightness is improved and the light mixing is more uniform than that of a traditional package. A light emitting device and an encapsulating material comprising the wavelength converting substance are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for performing a batch spray comprises providing a substrate mounted upon a turntable, rotating the turntable to revolve the substrate around a center axis of the turntable, rotating the substrate independently of the turntable, wherein the rotating of the substrate occurs simultaneously with the rotating of the turntable, and spraying a chemical onto the substrate from at least one fixed location. Rotating the substrate independently of the turntable allows the entire circumference of the substrate to be exposed to the chemical spray. In one implementation, the substrate may be loaded into a process cassette, the process cassette may be mounted on the turntable, and the process cassette may rotate independently of the turntable while the turntable is rotating.
Abstract:
A light-emitting diode (LED) mainly includes a surface mounted package. The surface mounted package includes a substrate, two composite metal layers positioned on the substrate and being insulated from each other, an LED chip electrically connected to the composite metal layers, and a sealing member covering the LED chip. Each of the composite metal layers has a silver layer for preventing solder paste from penetrating into space between the sealing member and the composite metal layers and for reflecting light beams generated by the LED chip.

A method to form copper-cobalt interconnects comprises rinsing a copper substrate with deionized water, heating a mild etchant solution and rinsing the copper substrate with the heated mild etchant solution, heating an electroless plating solution and rinsing the copper substrate with a portion of the heated electroless plating solution, heating a reducing agent solution and mixing another portion of the heated electroless plating solution with the heated reducing agent solution to form a self-catalytic bath, and applying the self-catalytic bath to the copper substrate. The electroless plating solution may contain cobalt ions. The method may further include rinsing the copper substrate with deionized water and a hydrofluoric acid solution after the application of the self-catalytic bath.
Abstract:
A flip chip ball grid array package is provided. In one embodiment, a flip chip ball grid array package comprises a substrate having an upper surface and a lower surface opposite the upper surface and a microelectronic element comprising a set of solder balls being secured to the upper surface of the substrate. A constraint member is secured to the lower surface of the substrate so that the constraint member has a degree of rigidity to reduce warpage due to thermal expansion mismatches between at least the microelectronic element and the substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a cable reel, which comprises a casing, a movable latch member pivotally coupled into the casing, a protrusion disposed at one end of the latch member, a turntable disposed under the latch member and pivotally coupled into the casing, a volute spring disposed on a turntable, a cable disposed in the in the turntable, and an adapter can be connected to one end or both ends of the cable. Further, the turntable has a groove, and an inclined guide groove and an arc indented groove are disposed proximate to the groove such that the protrusion on the latch member in conjunction with the inclined guide groove and the arc indented groove can fix the cable at the currently located position and will not retract the cable into the cable reel when the cable is pulled. On the other hand, the cable is pulled gently again if it is necessary to rewind the cable. The protrusion of the latch member will then be released and the cable around the turntable will be retracted automatically to the turntable. The present invention not only is simple to use, but also is easy to carry.
Abstract:
A hybrid reactive power compensation device comprises a passive type reactive power compensator and an active type reactive power compensator serially connected thereto. The passive type reactive power compensator is an AC power capacitor adapted to provide the reactive power that reduces capacity of the active type reactive power compensator. The active type reactive power compensator comprises a power converter, a DC capacitor, a high-frequency ripple filter and a controller. The hybrid reactive power compensation device can supply a linearly adjustable reactive power within a predetermined range, and is adapted to supply a current with a nearly sinusoidal waveform. Therefore, it can avoid the destruction of AC power capacitor caused by the power resonance.
Abstract:
A system for developing natural language enabled software applications is described. Resolvable types define abstract representations of linguistic elements and interrelationships between linguistic elements of a natural language input. Resolution semantics define procedural rules for resolving validity of the resolvable types in a natural language enabled software application.
Abstract:
A supply voltage detection circuit determines when the voltage for any one of the power supply signals received by an integrated circuit device is below its steady state level, as may occur during a hot socket condition when the device is inserted in or removed from a powered-on system. A first detection circuit determines when the first supply voltage level is below its steady state level, and a second detection circuit determines when the second supply voltage level is below its steady state level. A logic circuit provides a detected condition signal that disables current flow through an input/output terminal associated with the supply voltage detection circuit. The circuit is able to rapidly detect hot socket conditions for a wide range of power supply signal levels, including low supply signal levels, while limiting leakage current effects.
