Abstract:
Example ambulation aid apparatus and associated methods of manufacture are disclosed and described herein. An example ambulation aid apparatus includes an ambulation aid body formed as a integral part, the integral part formed in monocoque construction to provide support for mobility of a user through the integral part, the integral part providing a plurality of grippable areas to facilitate user movement and support through the integral part. Another example ambulation aid apparatus includes a primary panel formed in monocoque construction to provide support for and assist in mobility of a user through the skin of the monocoque primary panel, the primary panel formed to interrelate with one or more subassemblies to provide an integrated monocoque part to assist in providing support for and improved mobility of the user through the integrated monocoque part. Example methods of manufacture are also disclosed and described.
Abstract:
A system of a magnetic attachment handle and attachment devices includes an attachment handle and a plurality of devices. Each of plurality of devices includes a device magnet which attaches with a handle magnet of the attachment handle so that the attachment handle can be interchangeably attached with a chosen device from the plurality of devices. The chosen device that attaches with the attachment handle is selected by a user as the plurality of devices can be different from one another.
Abstract:
An exercising apparatus for allowing mobility recovery and slimming activities. The apparatus is an endless belt-like exercising sport mat device which comprises a) an endless belt padded with a relatively soft and elastic material for serving as a sliding sport mat; b) a rolling mechanism for allowing the endless belt to be looped at a relatively low speed around the rolling mechanism, thereby providing a lower belt section and an overlying upper belt section on which a user may perform such activities; c) a supporting surface disposed under the inner surface of said upper belt section supporting relation thereto and depressible therewith under the weight of a user for aiding the user to move the endless belt; and d) a rigid frame for containing the supporting surface and the rolling mechanism.
Abstract:
There is provided, in combination, a collapsible walker and a collapsible basket. The walker includes a pair of spaced-apart, operatively interconnected frame members. The frame members each have an upper end for placing one's hand and a lower end spaced-apart from the upper end. Ground-engaging wheels are rotatably mounted to the lower ends of the frame members. A folding mechanism allows the frame members to be brought together for folding the walker. The collapsible basket includes a pair of spaced-apart, rigid end members, each being connectable with a respective one of said frame members. A flexible basket member extends substantially about, extends between and is supported by the rigid end members. The end members are moveable towards each other and the basket member thereby folds to collapse the basket when folding the walker.
Abstract:
There is provided a walker apparatus. The walker apparatus has a pair of spaced-apart, arc-shaped support members. The walker apparatus includes a pair of elongate pivot rods operatively connected to respective ones the support members. The walker apparatus includes a laterally-foldable seat. The seat pivotally connects to the support members via the pivot rods. According to one aspect, each support member has an apex. The elongate pivot rods operatively connect to respective ones of the apexes of the support members.
Abstract:
A spa cart system includes a wheeled cart with multiple shelves for carrying spa products and fully-functional equipment for providing spa services in a client's room or designated hotel site, such as a full body massage, manicure, pedicure, and many more. Selectable transportable modules include products and equipment to support a variety of diverse spa activities, such as carrying necessary equipment, including electrically-powered equipment and a massage table and positioning same for use, supporting portability such as a cart width that fits through typical narrow hotel and resort doors, allowing adjustable movement of the equipment to use locations, providing a well-organized physical station supporting the various services (e.g., a manicure treatment station), and providing modules selectable by the technician to satisfy various spa activities pre-selected by a client.
Abstract:
An orthopedic stretcher allows for alternately applying flexion and extension forces to a patient's leg. The orthopedic stretcher includes a base with a first leg pivotally connected thereto. A second leg support for engaging the patient's lower leg is linked to the first leg support. A means for applying an extension force moves the first leg support and the second leg support further apart to extend the patient's leg. Similarly, a means for applying a flexion force moves the first leg support and the second leg support closer together to bend the patient's leg.
Abstract:
An erogenic stimulation device for men having a compact state for inconspicuous storage when not in use which expands to an approximate size and shape of a female pelvic region when filled with warm water, the cooperation of warm water with elastomeric interior and exterior elements provides a more natural sensation of warmth, pressure, and responsive motion for the user, the device including contours simulating the structural features of the pelvic region and buttocks and an anatomically correct depiction of female genitalia including vulva and vaginal opening.
Abstract:
A device for rehabilitating a knee after knee surgery includes a support adapted to support the leg at the popliteal fossa while allowing the knee to be bent about the support with little interference from the support. A method of knee rehabilitation includes the step of supporting the patient's leg on the support and allowing the patient to control to movement in order to overcome muscle guarding. The support is carried by uprights that are spaced apart far enough to allow the patient to be positioned on his back between the uprights with the knee to be rehabilitated disposed over the support and the other leg stretched straight under the support.
Abstract:
A massage device comprises a body having a body-contacting head adjacent one end and a handle adjacent the other end, the body shaped to permit the user to reach the back of his/her body with the head when the handle is at the user's front or side; and having a rest pivot extending from the body and terminating at a distal end in a support-contacting face, the rest pivot being positioned so that when the device is between a support surface and the user with the head in contact with the user's body and the handle positioned for contact by the user's hand, (a) the user's bodyweight stabilizes the rest pivot against sliding movement on the support and (b) any pivoting force about the rest pivot applied by the user's hand to the handle is substantially less than the force exerted against the user's body by the head.
