Abstract:
Labels, labeled containers and method of labeling a container wherein the label comprises a pre-applied adhesive that is reactivated with moistenable.
Abstract:
A method of selectively applying pressure-sensitive adhesive to a nonwoven web and thereby forming a cleaning sheet having adhesive free peaks and adhesive containing valleys includes coating an adhesive transfer roll with adhesive, transferring a portion of the adhesive to raised regions of a female pattern forming roll, and transferring the adhesive from the raised regions of the female pattern forming roll to the web. An apparatus for selectively applying pressure-sensitive adhesive to a nonwoven web and forming a cleaning sheet is also described.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device, which is obtained by sticking an adhesive sheet 1 comprising a base material 2, an adhesive agent layer 3 formed on the base material 2 and conductor bodies 4 buried in the adhesive agent layer 3 to a semiconductor wafer, and removing the base material from the adhesive agent layer of the adhesive sheet 1. The adhesive agent layer 3 and a substrate are then aligned and the semiconductor wafer and the substrate are adhered via the adhesive agent layer 3 to avoid defects caused by fluidity of an under filling material.
Abstract:
A self-adhesive ventilating modified bituminous composite that comprises an unmodified bituminous or a polymer modified bituminous compound on the front side and a self-adhesive bituminous compound on the backside of a reinforcement carrier sheet is provided. A transfer lacquer printed release liner is applied to the tacky self-adhesive layer during manufacture. The transfer lacquer printed release liner is removed from the membrane just prior to use, such that the exposed surface of the membrane is placed directly onto the upper surface of the roof deck, base sheet or underlayment; force is applied directly to the sheet to enhance the adhesive bond between the tacky self-adhesive compound and the underlying substrate at approximately 50% of the area of contact in order to achieve a ‘partially-adhering’ membrane. Such partial attachment of the composite to the underlying substrate provides a channel for the lateral escape of any pressure or latent moisture in the substrate, thereby extending the life of the roofing system. The present invention offers simplicity and improved efficiencies in manufacturing and relates generally to residential and commercial roofing membranes.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an adhesive tape comprising at least one layer of a radiation curable precursor of an adhesive and at least one film having two essentially oppositely parallel surfaces wherein at least one of said surfaces which is in contact with said radiation curable precursor, comprises a series of recesses therein and can be removed from said optionally partially cured precursor, and wherein said radiation curable precursor exhibits a loss tangent of at least 1 at a temperature of 50° C.
Abstract:
A flat bonding wrapping film has two or more strips of double-sided adhesive bonded thereon at an interval according to the requirement of a goods to be wrapped. The wrapping film is cut into individual pieces and stacked. The wrapping film has the double-sided adhesive bonded on one side and another side overlapping and bonding to the one side thereof. The wrapped goods is heated in a heating apparatus to wrap the wrapping film on the goods to achieve fast, convenient and simple bonding.
Abstract:
An adhesive dispensing sheet including a plurality of pressure sensitive adhesive segments disposed on a carrier material is disclosed. The adhesive segments are separated from one another on the carrier material by perforations. The perforated adhesive dispensing sheet permits a single adhesive segment to be carefully torn away from and thereby detached from the remaining adhesive segments on the adhesive carrier sheet to allow for easy placement of a single adhesive segment. Thus, the pressure-sensitive adhesives may thereby be dispensed onto any item in exactly the proper location without damaging the adhesive segment or the remainder of the adhesive dispensing sheet.
Abstract:
There is disclosed an overlaminating adhesive film comprising a transparent film, an adhesive layer and a release material successively laminated in this order, wherein said release material has a surface contacting with the adhesive layer, said surface having a centerline average surface roughness of 0.5 μm or lower; an adhesive forming said adhesive layer has a pH of 7.2 to 8.5 in a solution state before applied, and is an acrylic emulsion-type adhesive having an average particle size of 200 nm or smaller; and a monomer component used for production of said adhesive includes an alkoxysilane group-containing unsaturated monomer in which each alkoxy group has 1 to 4 carbon atoms, but includes no hydroxy-containing unsaturated monomer. The overlaminating adhesive film of the present invention exhibits a good water resistance and is free from deterioration in its transparency due to lifting or bubbles when laminated on an adherend, and further prevents an ink-jet printed surface over which the adhesive film is laminated, from suffering from ink bleeding even when the printed surface is allowed to stand under humidified conditions.
Abstract:
Adhesive articles, particularly useful as reusable closures, comprising a moisture resistant substrate and a removable adhesive covering at least a portion substrate surface, the adhesive having a Moist Loop Test result of at least about 25 N/25 mm at a test plate temperature of 5° C. The closure may also include a permanent adhesive covering another portion of the substrate surface. The adhesive articles provide easy application to packages and exhibit good adhesion performance in the presence of moisture, such as from refrigerated or frozen food packaging.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an adhesive article which provides air egress. Air egress is provided by supplying a route, such as areas of no initial adhesion for the air to flow out from under the construction. The invention relates to an adhesive article comprising a facestock having a front surface and a back surface, a continuous layer of adhesive having an upper surface and a lower surface wherein the upper surface of the adhesive layer is adhered to the back surface of the facestock, and a plurality of spaced-apart non-adhesive material which is in contact with the lower surface of the adhesive layer wherein the lower surface of the adhesive layer has a Sheffield roughness of at least about 10 and the adhesive article provides air egress. The invention also relates to methods of preparing the adhesive articles. These articles have usefulness as industrial graphics images, as well as decorative coverings, etc. The articles provide air egress and optionally repositionability and slideability.
