    Abstract: A display device includes a display region, a peripheral region outside the display region, a control circuit, driving circuits, a clock line connecting the control circuit to one of the driving circuits and in which a first clock signal is supplied, and another clock line connecting the control circuit to the other of the driving circuits and in which a second clock signal is supplied. A light shielding layer includes extension portions each extending along a Y direction, and bent portions between the extension portions. A length of one of the extension portions is longer than a length of the other of the extension portions. In plan view, one of the bent portions overlaps with one of the clock lines, and the other of the bent portions is located between termination portions of the clock lines.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, an acousto-optic modulator includes an acousto-optic medium and a piezoelectric transducer. The acousto-optic medium has a configuration of a hexahedron. The acousto-optic medium has surfaces D, E, F, G and H. The piezoelectric transducer is provided on a surface C of the acousto-optic medium. The surface D opposes the surface C and has respective four sides shared by the surfaces E, F, G and H. Four angles defined between the surface D and the surfaces E, F G and H each is other than 90°. At least one of eight angles defined between each pair of the surfaces C, E, F, G and H is other than 90°. The each pair has one shared side.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display panel substrate having a semiconductor element includes a film forming step of forming a thin film, a resist film forming step of forming a positive resist film on the thin film, a first exposure step of selectively exposing a resist film via a photomask including a pattern of the semiconductor element, a second exposure step of selectively exposing the resist film by scanning and irradiating the resist film with light along an outline shape of the display panel substrate, a developing step of developing the resist film to remove the resist film exposed in the first and second exposure steps and form a resist pattern on the thin film, an etching step of etching the thin film using the resist pattern as a mask, and forming a thin-film pattern by selectively removing the thin film, and a peeling step of peeling the resist pattern.
