Abstract:
The boost pressure of a blower such as a turbocharger or a supercharger which is driven by the exhaust gas or the power output from an engine is controlled under closed-loop control when the boost pressure is in a steady state, and under open-loop control when the boost pressure is in a transient state. When the boost pressure is in the transient state, the open-loop control which may be map control is carried out for relatively good accuracy and high stability. When the boost pressure is in the steady state, the closed-loop control, i.e., highly accurate feedback control, is effected. Therefore, an improved response and stability can be achieved in boost pressure control.
Abstract:
A vertical magnetic recording medium excellent in durability and recording property in which a first magnetic film comprising Co--Cr or Co--Cr--W as the main ingredient is formed on a substrate and the second magnetic film comprising Co--Cr--W--C as the main ingredient is formed on the first magnetic film, as well as the production process therefor are provided.
Abstract:
A valve operating mechanism for operating at least one valve of an internal combustion engine, includes a camshaft rotatable in synchronism with rotation of the internal combustion engine and having a pair of low- and high-speed cams of different cam profiles, a rocker shaft, and a pair of first and second rocker arms rotatably mounted on the rocker shaft and operable selectively by the low- and high-speed cams for operating the valve according to the cam profiles of the cams. A selective coupling is operatively disposed in and between the first and second rocker arms for interconnecting the first and second rocker arms in high-speed operation of the engine and for disconnecting the first and second rocker arms from each other in low-speed operation of the engine.
Abstract:
In a fuel injection timing control apparatus having a sensor for generating a signal indicating the actual timing of fuel injection in response to the fuel pressure occurring at the time of fuel injection for controlling the fuel injection timing in the mode of closed-loop control using the signal as a feedback signal, when the sensor stops producing the signal, the control mode is changed to the mode of open-loop control so as to continue the control operation of the fuel injection timing, and the state of zero injection of the fuel injection pump is distinguished from the occurrence of a malfunction in the sensor.
Abstract:
A membrane panel keyboard is presented having magnetic material in one contact element and magnetic field generating means to achieve self-retention or key closure retention when a key is actuated.
Abstract:
An internal combustion engine is equipped with a supercharger which includes an intake port, an intake passage communicated with the intake port and a compressor interposed in the intake passage and compressing the intake air flowing through the intake passage. A unidirectional valve such as a reed valve is disposed inside the intake passage in series with the compressor in order to prevent backflow of the supercharged air inside the intake passage and thus to prevent a drop in the engine output when a throttle valve inside the intake passage is abruptly closed.
Abstract:
A supercharger apparatus is provided which comprises a reciprocating type internal combustion engine having a block, an exhaust passage and an intake passage, and also having an exhaust turbine which is provided in said exhaust passage. A compressor is provided in said intake passage, along with a shaft for interconnecting said turbine and said compressor, the shaft being supported in a bearing hole which is formed in the engine block. A lubrication oil passage, which is in communication with the bearing hole, is formed in the engine block.
Abstract:
A motorcycle provided with an engine having a supercharger wherein the engine integrally formed with an engine body and a transmission case is mounted on a body frame, said transmission case having an upper case and a lower case integrally connected with each other, which are separable into upper and lower portions, and a supercharger for compressing suction air of said engine is mounted on the rear surface of said transmission case.
Abstract:
A disk substrate molding apparatus has a disk substrate molding die and a temperature controller. The disk substrate molding die includes a stamper, a first die including a mirror member to which the stamper comes in contact, and a second die including a molding surface which forms a disk-shaped cavity between the molding surface and the stamper. The second die includes a protruding part which protrudes toward the stamper at an outer circumferential part of the molding surface. The temperature controller controls temperature of the second die so that the protruding part exhibits a higher temperature in comparison to a region further toward the inner circumferential side than the protruding part, and controls temperature of the first die so that a region opposite to the protruding part exhibits a lower temperature in comparison to the protruding part in the mirror member.
