Abstract:
A reversible massage tool which has two opposing massage surfaces formed on opposite sides of a frame. A hard massage surface is provided by a plurality of acupressure massage bumps in sets of two each the height of each pair of bumps is lowest at the ends of the tool and increases with each pair towards the center of the tool. This variation in height created a curved massage surface. The bumps are formed above hollow chambers or pockets which may receive a ball such as a tennis ball. Placements of these balls serve to adjust the massage position of the acupressure bumps in height above a surface and in angle and rocking motions. The tool is reversible. If desired, the tennis balls may be employed as a second massage surface by turning the device over so that the massage bumps are now the base surface and the tennis balls are applied to the body. The balls are engaged by friction fit in the hollow chambers.
Abstract:
A stretching device and method of use for stretching the foot and lower leg muscles of a user. The stretching device may include a base and an adjustable incline support that can be adjusted at various angles relative to the base. The incline support may further be divided into separate fingers that can be adjusted to different angular positions relative to one another. A support member may extend across and support the incline support.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus that affect vacuum to massage a volume of the skin and one or more types of skin treatment energies coupled to the massaged volume to treat the skin and subcutaneous adipose tissue and produce a desired treatment effect. The method and apparatus are based on coupling an array or a number of arrays being an assembly of skin treatment units with each skin treatment unit including a hollow cavity and a number of different energy to skin applying elements operative to receive skin treatment energy from a source of such energy and couple or apply the received energy to a treated segment of skin.
Abstract:
A multifunctional massage joint protector, comprising an elastic piece body, a palm-shaped and a low-frequency massage part. The elastic piece body is used for coating and fixed on a human joint, the palm-shaped coating part coats the periphery of the human joint, and the low-frequency massage part is adjacent to the palm-shaped coating part and arranged on the elastic piece body. The joint protector, on one hand, uses the palm shape of the palm-shaped coating part to locate the human joint, in order to avoid the problem of shifting of the protector due to detachment when the human joint moves, and uses the low-frequency massage part to enhance the effect of the kneading and massaging, and on the other hand, coats the human joint by means of the palm-shaped coating part and the massage possesses a tactile sensation, thereby improving the use value of the protector.
Abstract:
Apparatus comprising an array of individually controlled skin treatment units to be applied to a skin segment with each of the units comprising: a housing defining a cavity that fluidly communicates with a source of vacuum pressure, having an inner side terminated by a rim facilitating sealing of the cavity when the unit is applied to the skin, dimensions of the cavity being sufficient to accommodate a volume of a skin segment drawn into the cavity by the source of vacuum pressure to create a skin protrusion; wherein application and release of vacuum pressure to the unit generates a back and forth massaging movement of at least a portion of a volume of skin against the rim, and wherein each of the units of the array has at least two degrees of rotational movement with respect to an adjacent unit so that the array can conform to skin segment topography.
Abstract:
A device, which can primarily be described as an arc shaped item designed to contact the back of a person's neck in certain locations while the user lays in a horizontal position, so as to relieve compression by passively creating tension along the user's cervical system, thereby helping to alleviate or prevent neck pain and headaches which are caused by cervical (neck) muscle tightness and joint irritation, and its methods of use.
Abstract:
A fitted garment that covers specific muscle areas in the back area of the body. It is a spandex/cotton material with strategically placed pockets sewn into specific areas of the material. Inside these pockets, high-density foam therapeutic balls are placed to facilitate in massaging specific muscles in the back area of the body. The garment fits securely to the upper body, and is secured by closing fitted straps and plastic buckles in the front area of the body. Because the garment is secured on the body, the person wearing it can move freely and with the use of their own body, they can apply pressure to the muscles by leaning against an object that would allow the balls to put pressure on these specific muscles. This process releases tension from the muscle and increases blood flow and range of motion. Because there are ten (10) pockets in specific areas of the garment, the same muscles are always being massaged allowing better relief and healthy blood flow to these muscles. The garment allows for the user to choose if they would like to use all the therapeutic balls at the same time or use only a few to massage certain muscles at certain times. The balls are interchangeable, allowing for this flexibility in use. Only high-density foam balls are used in this product, the pockets are sized to hold them in place for a greater therapeutic effect.
Abstract:
A trigger point massage therapy device for well-controlled trigger point therapy, suitable for long-term use by a health practitioner with minimal risk of pain or injury, can include a main body with a handle, rubberized grips, a connection pin, that can connect to a pressure point base with a pressure point tip, whereon can further be installed additional pressure point tips in different sizes; a pressure sensor, a step-vibration component, an electro-motor; and additionally heating, ultra sound, electrical stimulation, infrared, and cold laser light components. The device can further include a control unit, which can be used for programming and controlling the functions of the device. Also described is a method for trigger point massage therapy, including measuring a pressure, adjusting the pressure, holding the pressure, rotating/unwinding, vibrating, and increasing the pressure.
Abstract:
A device worn by a patient for maintaining pressure at appropriate points on a patient's abdomen for treating gastroesophageal reflux and heartburn. The pressure is applied by the utilization of two protrusions. The position of both of the protrusions can be adjusted laterally relative to one another to ensure that pressure is applied to the correct position on the patient's body. Alternatively, the protrusions can be inflated to a particular level, allowing the protrusions to apply pressure to the body.
Abstract:
A foot massager includes a plurality of roller massagers, two rotational massagers, a power source, a forward-and-backward-movable device, a first transmission device, and a second transmission device. The power source rotates clockwise and drives the first transmission device and the second transmission device, such that the first transmission device drives a one-way bearing to perform idle rotation and drives the roller massagers to perform rolling massage, whereas the second transmission device drives the two rotational massagers to perform rotational massage. The power source rotates anticlockwise and drives the first transmission device and the second transmission device, such that the first transmission device drives the one-way bearing to drive the foot massaging base to move forward and backward in its entirety and drives the roller massagers to perform rolling massage, whereas the second transmission device drives the two rotational massagers to perform rotational massage.
