Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a concentrate enriched in iron mineral content from an ore, which contains an iron mineral and silicate, by a reverse flotation, which method comprises the step of (c) adding a collector composition comprising
(i) an amidoamine, which contains a compound of formula I
or a salt of a protonated compound of formula I and an anion, and
(ii) an alkyl polyglycoside, which contains a compound of formula II
wherein
RAP is a linear or branched C6-C22 alkyl or a linear C6-C22 alkenyl, G1 is a monosaccharide residue having 5 or 6 carbon atoms, x is an average value from 1 to 10,
to a prepared aqueous pulp of the ore and optionally one or more flotation auxiliary to obtain an aqueous mixture. Furthermore, the use of the collector composition as a flotation collector is described and the collector composition itself
Abstract:
Cationic reverse flotation methods, systems, and processes for producing a marketable iron oxide concentrate from an iron oxide mineral slurry (“treatment slurry”), wherein the iron oxide content of the concentrate is greater than the iron oxide content of the treatment slurry, include introducing the treatment slurry into a flotation cell, together with a collector, a frother and optionally an iron oxide depressant, and recovering two flow streams from the flotation cell, namely a froth fraction (also referred to as a flotation tail fraction) and a sink material fraction (also referred to as the flotation concentrate), wherein the treatment slurry in the flotation cell is maintained at a Natural pH.
Abstract:
A depressor in iron ore flotation comprises sugar cane bagasse and caustic soda so as to assist in the iron ore flotation.Sugar cane bagasse is used as a depressor in iron ore flotation, and a process of preparing depressor comprising sugar cane bagasse is disclosed.
