Abstract:
A gravity conveyor of the chuting or rollerway type wherein workpieces of regular or irregular shape having easily damaged surfaces are supported within protective work carriers which roll or slide along the conveyor. The work carriers are of cylindrical shape and formed with a through co-axial bore.
Abstract:
Construction of a lower landing and transition ramp for a high speed roller track conveyor having horizontal and inclined flights and being used for baggage handling in airport terminals or the like. The conveyor moves pallets or the like, each having a pair of sled runners. The transition ramp has a pair of endless conveyor belts, each having a first straight, horizontal track portion, defining the lower landing, a straight inclined portion in line with said inclined flight, and a concave control portion as transition between the two straight portions, whereby the two straight portions each having approximately the length of one of the pallets. Additionally, there are guide rolls on the pallet for maintaining the runners thereof respectively on the belts, and there are bars over which the upper portion of the belts slide, for load support proper.
Abstract:
Apparatus for positioning containers upright from a disoriented pile in a hopper. A divider ramp with an inclined upper groove picks up a row of containers which orient with their major axes lengthwise of the groove. The containers slide downwardly endwise into an orienting tube which provides a pair of inclined transversely displaced surfaces spaced less than the maximum width of the containers and between which each container tumbles over upside down in upright position with its center of gravity below the axis of rotation. Each container as it tumbles once or slides down the spaced surfaces enters a pocket in a metering wheel extending between the surfaces. The wheel deposits each container in upright position into a vertical tube to a second metering wheel which deposits the container into a holder indexed therebeneath by a conveyor.
Abstract:
The invention relates, inter alia, to a device for conveying containers for a container processing facility. The device has a first, preferably continuous, container conveyor, a second, preferably continuous, container conveyor, which has multiple preferably plate-shaped carriers for transporting the containers, and a transfer station by use of which the containers can be removed from the first container conveyor and positioned on the multiple carriers of the second container conveyor. Advantageously, the device allows unstable containers to be transported securely and these containers to be buffered by use of the carriers.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a transfer process for articles are presented. The articles are transferred without risk of damage when gripped by pincer grip devices, regardless of article shape and gripping manner. The apparatus includes a first transport device, having pincer grip devices, moving along a first closed path, each having pincer claws projecting outward from the first closed path. The pincer claws are movable from a gripping position to a release position. The apparatus also includes a second transport device, having tray-like elements moving along a respective second closed path and configured to receive respective articles resting thereon. The first and second transport devices cooperate with each other at one or two exchange segments where the first closed path is superimposed on said second closed path and where the articles transported in the pincer grip devices are laid on tray-like elements and/or removed therefrom.
Abstract:
A guard device for transport bags in a loading station of an overhead conveyor system comprises a mounting unit to mount the guard device to a conveyor device of the overhead conveyor system, an impact plate to support a rear wall of a transport bag when being loaded with a product to be transported, and a connection unit to movably connect the impact plate to the mounting unit.
Abstract:
The invention proposes a loading device (10) for continuously loading receiving units (4.1-4.8) with transport goods (T), wherein the loading device (10) comprises a plurality of receiving units (4.1-4.8), a conveyor device (2), in which the receiving units (4.1-4.8) can be conveyed, a supply device (3) for supplying transport goods (T) and a transfer device (1), which is designed to acquire the transport goods (T) from the supply device (3), as well as to convey and transfer the transport goods to the receiving units (4.1-4.8), wherein the transfer device (1) and the receiving units (4.1-4.8) can be moved in the same direction during the transfer of the transport goods (T).
Abstract:
A laboratory sample distribution system is presented. The system comprises sample container carriers carrying a sample container and comprising a magnetically active device. The system also comprises a transport plane supporting the sample container carriers and comprises drive modules comprising first line shaped conductors extending in a first direction and arranged parallel to each other and second line shaped conductors extending in a second direction and arranged parallel to each other. The system comprises a driver electrically connected to each of the first and second conductors of the drive modules. The driver selectively applies a drive current and/or voltage to the first and second conductors such that a conductor current results in the conductors driven by the drive current and/or voltage. The conductor current selectively causes a drive force to the sample container carriers such that the sample container carriers move along individual transport paths on the transport plane.
Abstract:
A system and method for simultaneously filling containers of different shapes and/or sizes are disclosed. A plurality of vehicles are routable along a track system to facilitate simultaneous delivery of first containers and second containers to different unit operation stations. The first and second containers may differ from one another in outer shape and/or interior volume.
