Abstract:
The Invention relates to a method for submitting and processing checks using an ATM, which comprises a reading unit in order to read in the image data of a check, using a web service, which is provided over a network, comprising the following steps: capturing the image data of the check by means of the ATM using the reading unit; transmitting the image data to the web service based on an open API (application programming interface) without resorting to the standard protocols of the ATMs in the field of payment transactions; processing the image data by means of the web service so that the text data on the check are recognized; posting the recognized data.
Abstract:
One method involves the use of stored value account that may be used, for example, to make internet payments, and that can be credited using a variety of payment techniques. Such a method involves receiving money at a money transfer location from a potential purchaser. The money is then stored as an electronic record in a stored value account of the purchaser. This money is then available for transfer at the request of the purchaser. Upon such a request, the money may be electronically sent to a recipient and the stored value account may be debited.
Abstract:
An automated banking machine (12) is operative to conduct transactions in response to HTML documents and TCP/IP messages exchanged with a local computer system (14) through an intranet (16), as well as in response to messages exchanged with foreign servers (20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 96) in a wide area network (18). The banking machine includes a computer (34) having an HTML document handling portion (76, 80, 82). The HTML document handling portion is operative to communicate through a proxy server (88), with a home HTTP server (90) in the intranet or the foreign servers in the wide area network. The computer further includes a device application portion (84) which interfaces with the HTML document handling portion and dispatches messages to operate devices (36) in the automated banking machine. The devices include a sheet dispenser mechanism (42) which dispenses currency as well as other transaction devices.
Abstract:
An ATMemo arrangement is disclosed. The arrangement allows an ATM to present a person's own reminder memo to that person. A personal memo is authored by an ATMemo customer with a personal computer and then the memo is stored at a remote data store. The data store is accessible by an ATM network. The stored memo is associated with the customer and a display period. Any ATM in the network is operative to display the memo to the customer. Display of a stored memo at an ATM is based on valid customer identification, the memo's display period, and the current date. The ATM accesses and displays the memo if both the ATM customer ID matches the memo author ID and the current date is within the time period for displaying the memo. The ATM can also print the memo on a transaction receipt.
Abstract:
A cash dispensing banking transaction machine that operates responsive to data bearing records includes a card reader that reads identifying data from a user card. The machine dispenses cash from a cash dispenser for a financial account without causing the card reader device to read data from a card corresponding to the financial account, when a determination indicates that a voice of the user included in an audio input signal to audio input device corresponds to a particular recognized user stored in a data store in correlated relation with the financial account.
Abstract:
A banking system controlled responsive to data bearing records includes a card reader that can read identifying data from user cards. The system can authorize operation of an automated banking machine responsive to the read data. The machine can provide an electronic transaction receipt to the machine user. A bank host computer is operable to submit the receipt to a system address of record with the bank. The address can correspond to an e-mail address, phone number, or other address associated with an account involved in the transaction. The receipt can also include an image associated with the transaction. The system can also operate to image a check deposited at the machine, and then electronically send the image to the check maker, the payee, and/or a clearinghouse.
Abstract:
Provided is a paper discharge device (1) capable of securing. the sufficient length of the waiting path while achieving downsizing of the entire device, and of allowing the paper in the waiting state to wait without being brought into contact with the collected paper until the processings such as printing are ended. The paper discharge device (1) includes: a waiting path (43), one side of which is connected to the input port (40) and another side of which is connected to the discharge port (41); a collection path (44), one side of which is connected to the waiting path through a merged portion (48) and another side of which is connected to the collection chamber (47); and conveyance mechanisms (45) for conveying the paper which was conveyed through the input port until the discharge port in a forward direction, and for conveying, after lapse of a given period of time after the conveyance of the paper, the paper in a reverse direction through the merged portion to feed into the collection path, in which the waiting path is formed into a curve so that the interval between the merged portion and the discharge port is swelled downward.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide currency solutions for the visually impaired by, for example, providing automated teller machines (ATMs) or other cash dispensers configured to dispense folded bills to the customer. The bills are folded based on denomination to allow the customer receiving the bills from the cash dispenser to be able to identify the denomination of each bill. In some embodiments, the cash dispenser is configured to automatically identify whether the customer prefers to receive folded bills and, in some embodiments, the cash dispenser is configured to fold and dispense bills according to customer preferences.
Abstract:
A banking system that is controlled by data bearing records includes a cash dispensing automated banking machine that includes a card reader, a keypad, a cash outlet, a deposit accepting opening and other transaction locations that may be susceptible to the installation of fraud devices. The machine is operative to sense the probable installation of unauthorized devices. Such unauthorized devices may include fraudulent card reading devices, fraudulent keypad input intercepting devices, cash outlet trap devices, deposit input diversion devices or other fraud devices. Control circuitry in operative connection with radiation output and radiation sensing devices, operates to identify conditions corresponding to the probable installation of a fraud device on the machine and to take actions in response thereto.
Abstract:
A transaction data capture system comprises a data capture interface, a portable data capture module (herein, the “PDCM”), and a data transfer interface. Transaction data from an electronic transaction device that would normally be directed to a paper printer is sent to the data capture interface and written to the PDCM. A data transfer interface formats the captured and stored transaction data for import into a software application operating on a computing device. The software application is selectable by a user of the computing device.
