Abstract: A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system for providing a sealed container of traceable resources. The system may comprise receiving a request for an amount of resources to be provided in a sealed container. A set of individual resource items may be collected to meet this request. Information about the denominations and unique identifiers of these resource items may be identified, and each resource item can be verified for authenticity. The system may then secure the collected set of individual resource items in a container, apply a tamper-evident seal to the container, and apply an informational notification to the container. The informational notification may provide information on the makeup of the container contents as well as an indication of the verification of the contents. This sealed container can then be dispensed for future use.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the invention relate to reducing a number of jams that can occur in an automated teller machine with the employment of a moveable platen that increases a width of a channel for documents. A document analysis area can receive a document via a first transport path, wherein the document analysis area can include a channel in which the document travels to enable at least one scan component to capture an image of the document. The channel is created by one or more platen. The one or more platen can be movable to increase the width of the channel so as to allow documents to pass-through the document analysis area without causing a jam or error for the automated teller machine.
