Abstract:
A SAS panel mount cable assembly for providing access of target hard-drive resources to an initiator-host includes an initiator-side connector, two target-side connectors, and a wire-harness. Each of the two target-side connectors includes a power-link portion, a signal-link portion, an interface separating the power-link portion and the signal-link portion, and a plurality of LEDs for indicating activity and fault-detection. A plurality of power-wires electrically connects the wire-harness to the power-link portions of the two target-side connectors, and two signal-link cables connect the initiator-side connector to the signal-link portions of the two target-side connectors.
Abstract:
A method for protecting a connection interface in a computer-docking assembly in which a computer-support assembly is partially rotated about an arm assembly while moving the computer-support assembly toward a connection interface of the base station. The computer-support assembly is generally aligned with the connection interface of the base station to posture the computer-support assembly in proximity to the interface connection of the base station for protecting the interface connection.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an electronic apparatus includes a connector into which a plug of a USB cable is insertable. The connector includes a housing and a terminal portion provided in the housing. The housing includes an insertion opening part which exposes the terminal portion outside, a back part positioned at an end part opposite to the insertion opening part in the housing, and a side part provided between the insertion opening part and the back part and configured to oppose to the plug when the plug is inserted into the connector. The side part includes an inclined part which continues to the insertion opening part and is inclined such that a distance between the inclined part and the plug increases in a direction from the back part toward the insertion opening part to form a gap between the inclined part and the plug.
Abstract:
An automatic sensing power system automatically determines a power requirement for an electrical device, converts power to the required level, and outputs the power to the electrical device when the electrical device is connected to the automatic sensing power system.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a housing and a connector. The connector is disposed in the housing to allow an external connection plug to be connected thereto. The connector includes an electromagnetic switch module and a sensing module. The electromagnetic switch module includes a first switch to activate the electromagnetic switch to produce an electromagnetic force. The sensing module includes a sensing element. The sensing element is positioned to be moved by the electromagnetic force when the electromagnetic switch module is activated thereby separating the external connection plug from the connection port.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a hidden I/O interface module is disclosed. The electronic device includes a container and a surface with an opening, container and the opening communicate with each other. The container includes a first position and a second position. The electronic device also includes an I/O connection unit, a pivot module and a cover. The I/O connection unit is disposed at the container, electrically connected to the electronic device and includes a connecting surface. The pivot module is connected to the I/O connection unit. The cover is connected to the pivot module. When the cover is shut, it covers the container and makes the I/O connection unit located at the first position. When the cover is open, it drives the pivot module to drive the I/O connection unit to move to the second position to make the connecting surface of the I/O connection unit aligned with the surface.
Abstract:
An EMI shielding assembly includes a bracket and a resilient shield. The bracket includes a top wall, a bottom wall, and a pair of sidewalls connected between the top wall and the bottom wall. A first and second opening are defined at opposite sides of the bracket and surrounded by the walls. Two face-to-face L-shaped plates extend from the pair of sidewalls respectively at the second opening. The shield is mounted between the L-shaped plates and covering the second opening.
Abstract:
A power supply cord set includes a power connector and a power cord. The power connector includes an insulating body, a first conducting element and a second conducting element. The second conducting element includes a first conducting part having a first connecting segment and a second connecting segment. The power cord includes a first multi-core wire and a second multi-core wire, which are covered by the external insulating cover layer. The internal insulating cover layer is partially extended out of a distal aperture of the external insulating cover layer. The bare wire portion of the first multi-core wire is fixed on the first conducting element of the power connector. The bare wire portion of the second multi-core wire is fixed on the first connecting segment of the second conducting element. A terminal part of the internal insulating cover layer is fixed by the second connecting segment.
Abstract:
A method for protecting contacts within a receptacle housing of a connector assembly from becoming contaminated. An example method includes inserting a connector insert into the receptacle housing, the connector insert includes a body portion having an exterior configured to correspond to at least a portion of the interior of the receptacle housing of the connector assembly. The body portion of the insert includes an opening which extends into the body portion to receive the contacts and protect the contacts from the exterior environment surrounding the receptacle housing when at least a portion of the body portion is received within the receptacle housing.
Abstract:
A power connector includes a socket, an insulating member, a handle, a plug, and a blocking plate mounted between the handle and the insulating member to limit movement of the insulating member. The insulating member is received in the socket and includes a first through hole extending therethrough and an opening communicating with the first through hole. The handle includes a second through hole for receiving a part of the insulating member and with a diameter thereof being less than an outer diameter of the part of the insulating member so that the insulating member can rotate with the handle. The plug includes an end portion and an inserting portion received in the first through hole. Rotation of the handle with the insulating member relative to the socket either allows or disallows an electrical connection to be established between the socket and the inserting portion via the opening.
