Abstract:
A multimedia retrieval method determines a descriptor weight for each of a plurality of descriptors used in a first combination to form a multimedia descriptor query. The method retrieves a group of first multimedia objects based on the descriptor weights corresponding to the first combination of descriptors.
Abstract:
A tension adjuster for a belt of image forming apparatus is provided. The tension adjuster of the belt includes a tension roller which rotates in contact with an inner surface of the belt. A fixed shaft is disposed a predetermined distance away from the tension roller. A pair of swing arms connect the fixed shaft to a shaft of the tension roller. A tension unit rotates the swing arm on a circumference of the fixed shaft in a first direction so that the tension roller produces a tension on the belt. A tension releasing unit applies torque to the swing arm on the circumference of the fixed shaft in a second direction opposite to the first direction. When the belt rotates, torque generated by the tension unit is greater than the torque generated by the tension releasing unit. When the belt is stopped, the belt is released by the torque of the tension releasing unit.
Abstract:
A method for updating multimedia feature information such as weight and reliability is provided. The method according to the present invention first performs a multimedia retrieval based on the previously used weight, receives one or more user feedback on a relevance of the retrieval, calculates a performance of the present retrieval, and updates reliability of the present multimedia feature in consideration of the calculated retrieval performance. On the basis of the updated reliability, the weight of the present multimedia feature is updated.
Abstract:
An electrophotographic includes a main frame, a photosensitive drum unit having a photosensitive drum and vertically detachably installed on the main frame, a plurality of development units each having a developing roller and detachably installed on the main frame while sliding in a horizontal direction, and a first door openably installed for mounting or dismounting the plurality of development units.
Abstract:
A method of searching multimedia data is disclosed. In the present invention, weights of features in a specific image are automatically learned by grouping images stored in a search system, giving an initial weight to the grouped images to search and classify the images, determining errors from the classified results and re-sorting the error images using automatic feedback.
Abstract:
A method of detecting a specific object in an image signal both efficiently and accurately is disclosed. According to the present invention, an object is first detected from an image or frame using a general feature of the object and in the following image or frame, the object is detected using an object-dependent feature. Also, when detecting a plurality of objects or portions of the object, a full color range of the specific object is determined, and color range sections of the full color range is used to detect the object.
Abstract:
A new color model HMMD is disclosed based upon hue, the shade, the tone, the tint and the brightness of a color, and a color quantizing method using the HMMD color space. The present invention regards the colors adjacent to a given color in the color space as the neighboring colors to consider indices of the neighboring colors as the partial values according to the distance. Accordingly, the present invention can accomplish a color quantization close to the change of the color sensed by the human eye, thereby capable of enhancing a performance of the image searching system based on content.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for measuring a liquid level in a vessel using an acoustic wave. Acoustic tubes have first ends disposed vertically along a sidewall of the vessel for each of the liquid levels to be measured, and the tubes communicate with the inside of the vessel. Second ends of the tubes are connected to a common tube. A storage level sensor board generates the acoustic wave in the vessel, receives the acoustic wave propagated through the acoustic tubes and the common tube, and determines the level of liquid in the vessel based on the received acoustic wave.
Abstract:
A lithium secondary battery has an electrode assembly including a positive electrode plate having a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode sheet fixed to at least one surface of the positive electrode current collector and having a positive electrode active material as a main component, a negative electrode plate having a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode sheet fixed to at least one surface of the negative electrode current collector and having a negative electrode active material as a main component, and a separator interposed between the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate. A current controller for cutting off current at a minimum temperature is present on each of the positive and negative electrode plates.
Abstract:
A developer cleaning method for a liquid electrophotographic printer is achieved by developing an electrostatic latent image by supplying developer supplied from an injection nozzle to a photoreceptor medium via a development roller, removing drip developer formed on the photoreceptor web between a squeegee roller and the development roller, removing developer remaining between the injection nozzle and the development roller, and reducing an electrical potential of the development roller after development so that toner particles included in the drip developer are transferred to the development roller due to a difference in electrical potential.
