    Abstract: A crusher comprising a cylindrical crushing chamber defined by a casing composed of at least two segments dividably joined together diametrically thereof, the crushing chamber having a feed inlet at its starting end and a discharge outlet at its terminal end, stationary blades interposed between the joining faces of the segments and extending over the entire length of the crushing chamber in parallel to its axis, and blocklike rotary cutters rotatably supported on a shaft side by side within the crushing chamber and each having on its outer periphery a plurality of helical blades at a desired twist angle with respect to the axis. Since the blade of the block-like rotary cutter has the desired twist angle with respect to the stationary blades, both blades shear a material in an obliquely cutting manner while a thrust acting on the face of the helical blade pushes the material forward within the crushing chamber during shearing. The crushing chamber is formed in its lower portion with an opening extending over its entire length and provided with size regulating member having a semicircular cross section and a great number of discharge control apertures for controlling the crushed product to a uniform size. The size regulating member may further be provided at the terminal end of the crushing chamber to continuously discharge from the chamber crushed pieces not greater than the desired size to permit the thrust to act effectively. Irrespective of whether the material is hard, soft, ductile or fragile the crusher is capable of crushing various materials such as tire incorporating bead wire, empty can, plastics, paper, wood, fiber, glass, straw, etc.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a grinding roller for waste tires and a multifunctional crusher having the grinding roller. The grinding roller comprises a roll shaft and a plurality of grinding components. The grinding components each comprise a grinding frame and grinding blocks mounted in grooves of the grinding frame. Each grinding block has a grinding surface that protrudes with respect to the grooves. Axial interval adjusting rings are disposed on the ring shaft for separating the grinding components at a predetermined distance to cut waste tires into blocks. The crusher comprises a box for housing the grinding roller. The box is provided with a material inlet and a material outlet. Axial blockers are mounted on the crusher to help grind waste tires into fine powder.

    Abstract: A waste tire separation recycling treatment device includes a machine rack, a pair of crushing rollers, a pair of stripping wheels and a guiding portion. After a waste tire, which is performed with pyrolysis, is placed in the device to obtain a non-metal scrap, a metal scrap and a mixture, and above 98% of the non-metal scrap, the metal scrap and the mixture are sequentially rolled and striped off to transform them into the non-metal scrap and the metal scrap. Afterward, several separation processes are performed to separate the non-metal scrap and the metal scrap, thereby greatly increasing the efficiency of separation recycling treatment.

    Abstract: Method and device are for recycling wornout tires and other industrial and domestic wastes. According to a method for shredding wornout tires a package of wornout tires is formed as a number of closely compacted layers. The package is subjected to primary destruction in an armored chamber under conditions of free extension until the package outside layers are destroyed. The overall dimensions of the armored chamber in any cross-section thereof perpendicular to the chamber axis and passing through the package of the compacted tires varies within the range of from 2 to 7 package diameters in such section. The compact package of tires is formed from a few coaxial helical twists having an axial hole. Accordingly, a stress-strain state is established upon free extension of a rubber layer without its contacting with the walls of the armored chamber, whereby efficient destruction and disintegration of the rubber, metallic and textile cord of a tire is attained.

    Abstract: A self cleaning cutting assembly is provided, having an array of counter rotating cutters in which a plurality of cutters rotating in a first direction are mounted on a first shaft and a plurality of second cutters are mounted on a second shaft for rotating in an opposite direction. The array of cutters is provided with a plurality of clearing or cleaning rings located alternately with the cutters on each shaft. The cutting array is kept clear of debris or partially cut material by movement of the clearing or cutting rings against adjacent cutters. Movement of the clearing or cleaning rings is a combination of rotary motion and linear motion, in which the linear motion is imparted by the cutter located opposite the cleaning ring striking the cleaning rings so as to push the cleaning ring beyond the position of the widest part of the cutter to completely dislodge material from the cutter.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing vehicle tires includes a feed mechanism for transferring flattened tire treads into a shearing assembly which includes a rotating shear assembly. The shear assembly is comprised of a rotating arbor supporting a stack of a plurality of cutting plates having cutting inserts extending therefrom in a variable helical pattern. The inserts rotate past an anvil edge, and the sharp edges of the inserts shear the infeeding edge of the tire tread. The inserts are replaceable, and the spacing of the cutting head and anvil edge is variable to optimize the shearing action.
