Abstract:
This invention is about an improved garage door opener system, with design features for preventing garage door break-in from outside of the garage using an object such as a hanger. Typically, a person pulls down a cord connected to a release handle to release emergency release of a garage door opener, allowing the door to be manually open or closed. An unauthorized person may attempt to pull down the cord using a hanger from outside the garage or to pull or push down the release handle, to open the door from outside and gain unauthorized entrance. The improved garage door opener system provides a mechanism to reverse the pulling direction of the cord and also protects release handle from being accessed from outside the garage, for increased security.
Abstract:
A casement window operator includes a linear input mechanism configured to be mounted to a stationary frame of a casement window, a linear to rotary motion converter operably coupled to an output of the linear input mechanism, a gear reducer operably coupled to an output of the rotary motion converter, and a sash arm operably coupled to an output of the gear reducer to rotate in conjunction with the output of the gear reducer. The sash arm is configured to extend from the stationary frame of the casement window to a rotatable window sash of the casement window.
Abstract:
A tailgate of a motor vehicle has an opening apparatus configured to avoid overshooting during opening of the tailgate. The opening apparatus is connected to a silicone damper to bring about a damping action in the opening direction and a freewheeling action in the closing direction. Additionally, the opening apparatus is configured so that closing of the tailgate and lock actuation are not impeded.
Abstract:
A damping device with damper is arranged on a first part of a piece of furniture or furniture fitting, operable by a second part of a piece of furniture or furniture fitting thus damping a relative movement of both parts. The damping effect of the damper may be deactivated by a switchable coupling switched by a preferably manually operated switch body.
Abstract:
A refrigerator including a main body provided with storage chambers, doors to open and close the storage chambers, upper hinge modules to enable one side of the upper end of each door to be rotatably installed on the main body. Main body hinge receipt parts are depressed on the upper surface of the main body to embed rear ends of the upper hinge modules in the upper surface of the main body and door hinge receipt parts are depressed on the rear surfaces of the doors to receive front ends of the upper hinge modules, and thus the main body is located at a height corresponding to the height of the doors, thereby allowing the main body provided with the storage chambers having a wider volume to be used in the refrigerator having a designated height.
Abstract:
The invention provides a closure system comprising an obstacle detection system for detecting objects in or near the path of a moving closure. The system comprises a remote module, a remote module timer, and a communication unit. The system further comprises a motor to drive the closure between open and closed positions, a controller for controlling operation of the motor, and a base station coupled to the controller for communication with the remote module and to transmit synchronization signals at first prescribed intervals. The remote module is arranged to have at least three modes of power usage: an operation mode, a standby mode, and a sleep mode. The system is further arranged such that, when in sleep mode, the remote module is configured to switch for a preset duration to said standby mode at or substantially at said first prescribed intervals to detect said synchronization signals so as to monitor the communications link between the base station and the remote module.
Abstract:
The disclosure discloses a door device including a panel, a pivoting arm module, and a door. The pivoting arm module includes a holder and a panel-pivoting arm. The holder is located in a doorway of the panel and fixed to the panel. The holder has an entrance and an accommodating trough. The panel-pivoting arm is slidably accommodated in the accommodating trough and can present a received status or an ejected status relative to the holder. The door is pivotally connected to the panel-pivoting arm. When the panel-pivoting arm presents the received status, the door abuts against the panel and closes the doorway, and the appearance surface of the door is flush with that of the panel. When the panel-pivoting arm presents the ejected status, the door leaves the panel and can rotate relative to the panel-pivoting arm to open the doorway.
Abstract:
An opening/closing body control device for a vehicle is provided with a drive section configured to drive an opening/closing body of a vehicle, and a controller configured to control the drive section. In response to detection of an external force input intended to accelerate the opening/closing body in operation, the controller controls the drive section to increase the operating speed of the opening/closing element. The drive section determines that the external force intended to accelerate the opening/closing body has been input if, as one example, the acceleration of the opening/closing body in an operation direction reaches a predetermined value or higher.

Abstract:
A piece of furniture has an actuating arrangement for a flap of the piece of furniture. An actuating arm arrangement includes a lever arrangement for moving the flap and a main spring that acts in the closing direction (SR) to hold the flap closed. The piece of furniture also has an ejecting device for ejecting the flap in the opening direction (OR) by overpressing the flap in the closing direction (SR). At least one support spring acts in the opening direction (OR) and is separate from the ejecting device, and supports the ejecting motion of the ejecting device. At least in an overpressed closed position (US), the spring forces (A, U) are together greater than the closing force (Z) which acts on the flap and which is provided by the main spring acting in the closing direction (SR).
