    Abstract: Provided are: a thermal acid generator having a high acid generation temperature; and a resist composition using the same. The thermal acid generator is a sulfonic acid derivative compound represented by the following Formula (I): (wherein, R1 represents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms or the like, or a group represented by the following Formula (II): (wherein, Y1 represents a single bond or an alkanediyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R11 and R12 each independently represent an alkanediyl group having 2 to 6 carbon atoms, or the like; R13 represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, or the like; a and b each represent 0 or 1; and either a or b is 1); R2 to R7 each independently represent a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 14 carbon atoms; the aliphatic hydrocarbon group or the like of R1 has no substituent or is substituted with a halogen atom or the like; and a methylene structure in the aliphatic hydrocarbon group or the like of R1 is optionally substituted with —O— or the like).

    Abstract: Provided are: a nucleating agent capable of simultaneously improving the thermal stability and the transparency of a polyolefin resin; a polyolefin-based resin composition containing the same; and a molded article of the composition. The nucleating agent contains a compound represented by Formula (1) below where R1 to R4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 9 carbon atoms; R5 represents an alkanediyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and M represents a hydrogen atom or a sodium atom. In this nucleating agent, the mass ratio of phosphorus atoms and sodium atoms, P/Na, is in a range of 1.200 to 1.500.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a glyceryl ether-containing composition, the method including: a deodorization step for bringing a glyceryl ether-containing product selected from the group consisting of a monohexyl glyceryl ether-containing product, a monocyclohexyl glyceryl ether-containing product and a mixture thereof into contact with water vapor in an environment having a reduced pressure of 0.10 kPa or more and 10 kPa or less for 60 minutes or more and 600 minutes or less; and an addition step for adding 0.05 to 0.30 parts by mass of an antioxidant containing d-α-tocopherol to 100 parts by mass of the glyceryl ether-containing product, and also provides a glyceryl ether-containing composition containing specific amounts of a specific glyceryl ether and an antioxidant containing d-α-tocopherol.

    Abstract: Provided is an exfoliated layered substance that has favorable dispersibility when added to a resin or the like and has an effect of significantly improving the properties of the resin or the like. There is provided a composite material in which the surface of an exfoliated layered substance is coated with a coating substance, wherein the coating substance is at least one substance selected from the group consisting of an antioxidant, a UV absorber, a hindered amine light stabilizer, a flame retardant, a plasticizer, a lubricant, a surfactant, a polyoxypropylene compound, a radically polymerized polymer having a hydrophilic unit and a hydrophobic unit, a process oil, and a quaternary ammonium salt compound, and the coating substance is contained in an amount of 0.1 to 100 parts by mass, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the exfoliated layered substance.

    Abstract: Provided are: an additive composition which has an excellent extruder feed stability as a result of having an excellent powder flowability, and can impart excellent transparency and mechanical properties to molded articles; a polyolefin resin composition containing the additive composition; a method of producing a polyolefin resin composition; and a molded article of the polyolefin resin composition. The additive composition contains (A) 1-[8-propyl-2,6-bis(4-propylphenyl)tetrahydro[1,3]dioxino[5,4-d]-1,3-dioxin-4-yl]ethane-1,2-diol and (B) an aromatic phosphate metal salt represented by Formula (1) where R1 to R4 each independently represent an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; n represents a number of 1 or 2; when n is 1, M1 represents an alkali metal; and when n is 2, M1 represents hydroxyaluminum. In this additive composition, the mass ratio of (A) and (B), (A)/(B), is in a range of 10/90 to 90/10.
