Abstract:
A filter device for filtering flowing liquids comprises a compressible filter medium in a vessel and a device by which the filter medium can be compressed by means of an actuation handle, so that impurities can be pressed out of the filter medium. In addition, the filter device contains a multipath regulator which can be adjusted for filtering, back-rinsing and clear-rinsing by means of three flow paths. It is also possible for the filter device to be outfitted exclusively with a multipath regulator or a compressing device.
Abstract:
In the treatment of water, an end piece is connected to a treatment cartridge housing and inserted into an appliance having bypass, inlet, and outlet valves. The end piece has an end piece wall from which an inlet fitting, outlet fitting, and protrusion extend. The inlet fittings, outlet fittings, protrusion, and cartridge housing each have a longitudinal axis. The inlet and outlet fittings have a cam surface for actuating the inlet and outlet valves, respectively. Further, the cam surfaces of the inlet and outlet fittings are angled and vectored in relation to their respective longitudinal axis. The protrusion is shaped for actuating the bypass valve.
Abstract:
A filtration module is provided which includes a manifold, a filtration cartridge and a bowl that houses the filter cartridge. The filtration cartridge and bowl are connected to each other by a key and a mating keyway to form a unitary construction. The filtration cartridge and bowl are in fluid communication with the manifold in a manner which prevents mixing of a fluid feed to the module and a permeate removed from the module.
Abstract:
A filtration module (1) is provided which includes a manifold (3), a filtration cartridge (50) and a bowl (2) that houses the filter cartridge (50). The filtration cartridge (50) and bowl (2) are connected to each other by a snap fit construction (22) to form a unitary construction. The filtration cartridge (50) and bowl (2) are in fluid communication with the manifold (3) which prevents mixing of a fluid feed to the module (1) and a permeate removed from the module (1).
Abstract:
A drilling water filter (1) with a self-cleaning system including a filter container (2), a cover (3) and a filter element (6) that can be inserted in the flow arm between an inlet (4) and an outlet (5) for separation of solid material from the fluid. The cover (3) has a displaceable carrying handle (7) for transporting the drilling water filter. The carrying handle (7) is connected with at least one self-cleaning means, in a controlled manner.
Abstract:
A key track system for a filter base module comprises a ring-shaped fixture including a series of perforations, each perforation at least partially defining a parting line along which a tab may be selectively removed. The key track fixture is incorporated into the filter base module to define the periphery of an entryway to a cartridge-receiving receptacle in the header portion of a base module. In some embodiments, the key track fixture is a molded ring-like component with pre-key selected angularly spaced key slots. Base modules including the key track system may be efficiently configured to accept the key pattern of a filter cartridge compatible with the filter system in which the base module will be used.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a key system for filters and their connecting heads/holders are shown. The filter cartridge and its holder each have a keyed surface, one being a protruding “key” and one being a recessed “lock”. Cooperation of these keyed surfaces is required in order for the filter cartridge to be installed in the holder, so that mismatched cartridges cannot be installed into the holder, for example, to prevent a particular type of cartridge from being placed in a filtration or other process where it would be inappropriate, or undesired. The keyed surfaces are selectively locate-able preferably at different circumferential locations on a perimeter of the filter and a corresponding location on a perimeter of the head/holder. The perimeter may be, for example, on an outer shoulder surface of a filter and an inner surface of a valve head, or on outer and inner surfaces of connectors that provide a liquid seal between the filter and the head/holder.
Abstract:
A filter assembly for filtering water from an external source, the filter assembly including a manifold assembly mountable to an appliance and being in fluid communication with the external source and a cartridge assembly, the cartridge assembly being replaceably fluidly couplable to the manifold assembly, the filter assembly includes a first and a second fluid tube, the first fluid tube being fluidly couplable to the external source being an unfiltered fluid inlet, the second fluid tube being a filtered fluid outlet, the first and the second fluid tubes each having a barbed end for coupling to the manifold assembly. A tube retainer assembly is associated with each of the first and second fluid tubes, the tube retainer assemblies each having a port being fixedly couplable to the manifold assembly, the port having a retainer bore defined therein for receiving a tube barbed end therein, a retainer ring disposable on the tube, the retainer ring compressively engaging a barbed surface of the tube barbed end and being fixedly bondable to the port for forming a fluid tight seal between the fluid tube and the retainer assembly. A cartridge assembly and a method of disengaging the cartridge assembly from a manifold assembly are also included.
Abstract:
A filter assembly includes a water filter assembly having a filter element sealingly disposed in a cartridge, and having an inlet and an outlet, the water filter assembly being substantially dripless when charged with water and disposed substantially horizontally. A manifold assembly is fluidly couplable at an inlet to a source of water to be filtered and having a filtered water outlet and having mating members for removably mating to the water filter assembly and having a mounting means attached to said manifold providing rotational travel to the water filter assembly for installation, removal and replacement of the water filter assembly. A cartridge and a water distribution manifold assembly are further included.
Abstract:
A high strength filter element housing suitable for high pressure hydraulic applications which require a minimum burst rating in the range of about 1,000 psi is comprised on an externally threaded tubular portion formed with a dome as a unitary piece having an open end closed by an internally threaded base. The base has a central opening which is threaded so that the filter element housing mounted as a spin-on housing for use with annular filter elements, the base further having spaced central openings around the threaded central opening. In a preferred embodiment, the base is permanently fixed to the tubular portion by adhesive sealing material disposed between the threads attaching the base and cap to the tubular portion.
