Abstract: An apparatus configured to dispense a cleaner composition includes an apparatus outlet in fluid communication with an exterior of the apparatus, a dispenser device configured to be operated to selectively dispense an amount of the cleaning composition through the apparatus outlet, and a controller configured to operate the dispenser device to cause the amount of the cleaning composition to be dispensed through the apparatus outlet without manual intervention. The apparatus is configured to be electrically connected with a float switch concurrently with dispensing the cleaning composition, and the apparatus is configured to cause at least a portion of an air conditioning system to shut down in response to receiving a signal generated by the float switch.

Abstract: A submersible water desalination apparatus includes a plurality of water separation membrane elements, a product water collector that receives product water from the membrane elements, and a variable output motorized submersible pump having a suction side that receives product water from the product water collector and a discharge side that pumps product water away from the apparatus through a product water conduit for surface or subsurface use. At least a portion of the product water is used to lubricate and optionally also cool at least a portion of the pump, motor or both the pump and motor.

Abstract: A method of filtering a main fluid using a rotary fluid filter. A 360 degree filtration cycle is initiated by receiving, at an initial position, a first portion of a main fluid at a front end of a first fluid flow passage extending through a filter body rotationally mounted within a housing. The filter body is rotated in a rotation direction and the first portion of the main fluid is discharged from a rear end of the first fluid flow passage, having passed through a filter received in the first fluid flow passage. The filter body is rotated further in the rotation direction and a first portion of a backwash fluid is received through the first fluid flow passage from the rear end to the front end. The rotational cycle is completed by rotating the filter body back to the initial position.

Abstract: A portable water conditioning system is provided that includes an incoming water inlet; a reverse osmosis stage in fluid communication with the incoming water inlet, the reverse osmosis stage having a permeate outlet and a concentrate outlet; a diversion device having a diversion valve, the diversion valve placing the concentrate outlet in fluid communication with a waste water outlet; a deionizing stage in fluid communication with a pure water outlet; a bypass valve configured to selectively place the permeate outlet in fluid communication with one or more of the waste water outlet, the deionizing stage, and the pure water outlet; and a controller configured to control the diversion device and the bypass valve to provide water at the pure water outlet of a desired condition.

Abstract: A filter cartridge for use in the interior of a water tank of a household appliance, the wall of which separates a housing internal side from a housing external side. A filter inlet opening which in the operation of the filter cartridge is open in relation to the external environment of a filter housing. A device for water conduction comprises at least one filter chamber having at least one filter medium and terminates in a filter outlet opening for suctioning water from the filter cartridge in the interior of the filter housing, downstream of the filter inlet opening relative to the flow direction of the water during operation. A filter port has an annular filter sealing face for the connection of the filter cartridge in a water tank. The filter sealing face has a separately disposed filter-proximal guide structure for receiving a centering element for centering the filter cartridge.

In intermediate state/s first part of water enters the filter passing through the first compartment and a second part of water enters the filter bypassing the first compartment and passes through the second compartment. Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a water filter cartridge in a pipe, said water filter cartridge having a housing in the form of a pressure vessel, and an inlet and an outlet for water, characterized in that a main flow of water to which minerals are added is conducted through a main pipe inside the pressure vessel, and a dosing flow of concentrated salt solution is conducted through a dosing pipe, wherein the dosing pipe branches off from the main pipe and passes through a reservoir of constant volume and in which there is a concentrated salt solution consisting of sulphate salt, chloride salt and/or hydrogen carbonate salt, wherein the part of the dosing pipe extending from the reservoir leads into the main flow at a dosing point through a dosing opening with a constant flow cross-section, and wherein a resistance section which is situated upstream of the dosing point in the main flow is used to set the flow resistance in the main flow such that a pressure difference results between the main flow and the dosing flow and causes a volumetric flow rate of the dosing flow of salt solution which is substantially proportional to the main flow, through the dosing opening into the main flow.
