    Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed an apparatus and method for receiving information to write on a clustered system comprising at least a first cluster and a second cluster, determining that a failure event has occurred on the clustered system creating unsynchronized information, the unsynchronized information comprising at least one of inflight information and dirty region information, and performing a resynchronization operation to synchronize the unsynchronized information on the first cluster and the second cluster based on log information in at least one of an inflight tracker log for the inflight information and a dirty region log for the dirty region information.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for backing up a profile of in a repository are disclosed. The method of backing up a profile is a method of backing up a profile in a subscriber management server, and includes receiving a backup request for a profile stored in an authentication module from the authentication module, providing information for at least one repository to the authentication module, the information being generated by confirming a state of the at least one repository to back up the profile according to the backup request, and storing the profile in a repository selected by the authentication module based on the information for at least one repository. Therefore, the user can directly select a reliable repository and back up the profile of the authentication module.

The methods and systems can include a database management component configured to manage database instances, the database management component also configured to receive a first data request operation on the distributed database, an execution component configured to process the first data request operation including at least one write request on at least one database instance managed by the database management component, and a fault prediction component configured to detect a potential page fault responsive to a target data of the write request, wherein the execution component is further configured to suspend execution of the first data request operation, request access a physical storage to read the target data into active memory, and re-execute the first data request operation after a period of time for suspending the first data request operation.

    Abstract: In some example embodiments, a method comprises: receiving, by a first node of a plurality of nodes in a distributed database system on a shared disk cluster infrastructure, a transaction request to perform a user database transaction a data item in a user database on a shared disk; acquiring, by the first node, a transaction lock for the data item; storing a lock file for the user database transaction in a lock information database on the shared disk, the lock file comprising lock information for the transaction lock and an indication of a status of the user database transaction, and the lock information comprising an identification of a location of the data item; and storing a transaction record of the user database transaction in the user database on the shared disk subsequent to the storing of the lock file in the lock information database on the shared disk.

    Abstract: A system and method providing interrupted write protection to a stand-alone commodity storage array utilized within a database system. The method identifies writes of data from the database system to the storage array requiring interrupt protection, and for each write, generates an entry for an intent log maintained within the database system. The log entries include a write identifier, storage device information associated with a write, and a write statues indication which are used to identify failed writes following a database system failure.
