Abstract:
A data communication apparatus is provided with an image reader which reads a document image, a storage which stores image data of the document image read by the image reader and registers one or a plurality of transmitting destinations, a data communication unit having a plurality of communication lines, and a communication control unit which controls a transmission start timing of the image data to the transmitting destinations. The communication control unit controls the data communication unit to start transmitting the image data to a first transmitting destination at a timing when reading of the document image by the image reader starts, when a plurality of transmitting destinations are registered.
Abstract:
The invention provides an image management system of a configuration capable of transmitting image information from an image pickup apparatus to an image management apparatus connected to a network, managing the image information registered by the image pickup apparatus in the image management apparatus, and opening such information on the network. The invention also provides an image pickup apparatus adapted for use in the aforementioned image management system and capable of controlling the setting for transmission of image information from the image pickup apparatus and the setting for opening the image on the network, according to the operation mode of the image pickup apparatus, more specifically the state and form of each of the photographing and reproducing modes.
Abstract:
The scanner 10 capable of functioning as a data transmission management device makes a judgment whether data should be allowed to be reused at a file transmission destination based on the nature of the particular destination, produces a reusable file, and transmits it to the destination, if it judges that the reuse of the data is allowed because the destination is within the area of the first network N1 to which the scanner is connected; it produces a difficult-to-reuse file and transmits it to the destination, if it judges that the reuse of the data is disallowed because the destination is outside of the area of the first network
Abstract:
In a digital camera, an image sensor or imaging device is driven in a partial pixel read mode during framing. The resulting image signal output from the image sensor is transformed to image data which can be displayed on, e.g., a display in real time. These image data are sent from the camera in an isochronous mode via a transmission interface and a cable connected to the interface. When a release command is input, the image sensor is driven in a full pixel read mode. Image data generated in this mode are written to a removable memory connected to a card interface or sent in an asynchronous mode via the transmission interface and cable. An image reproducing device is also capable of being connected to the camera by the cable.
Abstract:
A network configuration file is generated at a host computer and downloaded to a digital camera. This file contains instruction information for communicating with a selected destination via a communications interface. The digital camera includes a nullsendnull button or LCD icon which allows the user to easily transmit one or more images via a wired or wireless communications interface to a desired destination, which among other possibilities may be an Internet Service Provider or a digital photofinishing center. When the user selects this option, the communications port settings, user account specifics, and destination connection commands are read from the network configuration file on the removable memory card. Examples of these settings include serial port baud rate, parity, and stop bits, as well as account name and password.
Abstract:
A fax gateway (10) improves the efficiency of long-distance fax communications by simultaneously receiving a plurality of low-speed (G3) faxes, bundling them into a single fax for transmission to a common distribution, and transmitting the single fax as a high-speed (G4) fax to the destination. At the destination, the high-speed fax is received, unbundled into its constituent faxes, and the constituent faxes are distributed as low-speed (G3) faxes to a plurality of recipients.
Abstract:
A data communication method includes the steps of: sending a communication procedure signal prior to data communication; sending a data signal; and sending a stop signal for stopping an echo suppressor function on a communication network; wherein the stop signal is sent prior to the data signal in such a way that a time interval during which no signal is generated does not occur, after the stop signal is sent, until the data signal is sent. A data communication apparatus includes: a communication unit for sending and receiving a data signal; a discrimination unit for discriminating if the apparatus is a calling station; and a control unit for controlling to change a communication controlling mode based on the output from the discrimination unit.
Abstract:
Provided is an image forming apparatus that allows a remote operation terminal to operate an image processing apparatus connected by SIP. On this account, the image forming apparatus (100) connected to the remote operation terminal (300) by SIP includes a remote operation-request message receiving part that receive a remote-operation request message from the remote operation terminal (300), a remote-operation response message transmitting part that transmits a remote-operation response message in response to the remote-operation request message, and an operation-screen information transmitting part that transmits operation screen information of the image forming apparatus (100) to the remote operation terminal (300) in accordance with the communication condition of the communication session when an SIP-based communication session is established between the remote operation terminal (300) and the image forming apparatus (100).
Abstract:
A process, machine-readable instructions, and a system are described in which two communication sessions are attempted to be established between a client application and an image processing apparatus. In some examples, the first communication session is permitted while delaying the operation of the second communication session until the first communication session has completed.
