Abstract: The present invention is intended to provide a method that can produce an oxidation reaction product of a hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof in an aqueous phase using a hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof as a raw material. In order to achieve the above object, the method for producing an oxidation reaction product of a hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof of the present invention includes the step of: irradiating a reaction system with light in a presence of a raw material and a halogen oxide radical to react, wherein the raw material is a hydrocarbon or a derivative thereof, the reaction system is a reaction system containing an aqueous phase, the aqueous phase contains the raw material and the halogen oxide radical, and in the reaction step, the raw material is oxidized to produce an oxidation reaction product of the raw material.

Abstract: A temperature sensor that includes an organic-inorganic composite negative temperature coefficient thermistor and a transistor. The organic-inorganic composite negative temperature coefficient thermistor includes a thermistor layer which includes spinel-type semiconductor ceramic composition powder containing Mn, Ni and Fe and an organic polymer component, and a pair of electrode layers. The semiconductor ceramic composition powder has a molar ratio of Mn to Ni of 85/15≥Mn/Ni≥65/35 and a Fe content of 30 parts by mole or less when a total molar amount of Mn and Ni is regarded as 100 parts by mole, and has a peak with a local maximum value of around 29° to 31° in its X-ray diffraction pattern, a half width of which peak is 0.15 or more. The transistor is electrically connected with either one of the pair of electrode layers.

Abstract: A steel with high hardness and excellent toughness contains, in mass %, 0.55-1.10% C, 0.10-2.00% Si, 0.10-2.00% Mn, 0.030% or less P, 0.030% or less S, 1.10-2.50% Cr, and 0.010-0.10% Al, with the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The structure of the steel after quenching is a dual phase structure of martensitic structure and spheroidized carbide. Spheroidized cementite particles with an aspect ratio of 1.5 or less constitute at least 90% of all cementite particles. The proportion of the number of spheroidized cementite particles on the prior austenite grain boundaries to a total number of cementite particles is 20% or less.

Abstract: A resist patterning method includes a resist layer forming step, a patterned exposure step, a flood exposure step, and a developing step. In the resist layer forming step, a resist layer is formed on a substrate. In the patterned exposure step, a sensitizer is produced from a sensitizer precursor in the resist layer. In the flood exposure step, flood exposure is performed on the resist layer in which the sensitizer has been produced to produce an acid from a strong acid generator. In the developing step, the resist layer is developed. The patterned exposure step includes: producing a strong acid from the strong acid generator; producing the sensitizer through a reaction between the strong acid and the sensitizer precursor; producing a weak acid through a reaction between the strong acid and a base; and producing the sensitizer through a reaction between the weak acid and the sensitizer precursor.

The disclosure relates to a method for producing low-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene having a melt viscosity at 380° C. of 1.0×102 to 7.0×105 Pa·s. The method includes (1) irradiating high-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene with radiation in a substantially oxygen-free state and decomposing the high-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene into a low-molecular-weight component and (2) deactivating, in a substantially oxygen-free state, at least part of main-chain radicals and end radicals generated by the irradiation and providing the low-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene.
