A mixer circuit includes a voltage-to-current converter which converts a positive phase input voltage signal and a reversed phase input voltage signal input to a first input terminal and a second input terminal into a positive phase current signal and a reversed phase current signal, a switching circuit switches over the positive phase current signal and the reversed phase current signal according to a positive phase local signal and a reversed phase local signal, and generates a positive phase output current signal and a reversed phase output current signal, and an impedance element connected between the first common terminal and the second common terminal, having a relatively high impedance to a differential-mode signal between the positive phase current signal and the reversed phase current signal, and having a relatively low impedance to a common-mode signal between the positive phase current signal and the reversed phase current signal.

A filter circuit includes a sampler which samples an input signal to generate a first analog signal, an analog-to-digital converter which converts the first analog signal into a first digital signal, a digital filter which extracts a signal component out of a desired band from the first digital signal to generate a second digital signal, a digital-to-analog converter which converts the second digital signal into a second analog signal, a delay device which imparts a signal delay to the first analog signal to supply a third analog signal, the signal delay being equal to a delay time of the second analog signal relative to the first analog signal, and a subtracter which subtracts the second analog signal from the third analog signal to generate an output signal.

Provided are a preparation method of a resist composition which enables stabilization of a dissolution performance of a resist film obtained from the resist composition thus prepared; and a resist composition obtained by the preparation process and showing small lot-to-lot variations in degradation over time. The process of the present invention is for preparing a chemically amplified resist composition containing a binder, an acid generator, a nitrogenous basic substance and a solvent and it has steps of selecting, as the solvent, a solvent having a peroxide content not greater than an acceptable level, and mixing constituent materials of the resist composition in the selected solvent.

A method of manufacturing an image forming apparatus having a plurality of electron-emitting members, with row direction wires and column direction wires, in a matrix, and a dielectric layer between the row and column wires. A resist precursor layer is formed by imparting and drying a first photosensitive paste. A second precursor layer is formed by imparting a second photosensitive paste onto the first precursor layer, and by drying the second paste. A precursor pattern is formed by exposing a layered product of the first layer and the second layer through a mask. The exposed layered product is developed, and the dielectric layer is formed by baking the precursor pattern. A shrinkage ratio of the second layer after the baking to the second layer before the baking is larger than a shrinkage ratio of the first layer after the baking to the first layer before the baking.

A fixing device and an image forming apparatus are provided that shorten warming-up time, reduce power consumption and deviation of a belt, and surely fix a toner image onto a sheet. Support members and a pressurizing member contact each other with pressure at an upstream side and a downstream side in a carrying direction of a recording medium. A first interposing portion of the belt disposed between the support members is inserted between the support members and the pressurizing member and is installed in a tensed state. A second interposing portion of the belt is installed in a non-tensed state, the pressurizing member contacts the outside of the first interposing portion to form the fixing nip portion. The support members contact the pressurizing member with different pressures at the upstream side and the downstream side in the carrying direction of the recording medium.

A hydroxystyrene/indene/alkoxyisobutoxystyrene copolymer having Mw of 1,000-500,000 is formulated as a base resin to give a resist composition, typically chemically amplified positive resist composition. The composition exhibits a high resolution, a satisfactory resist pattern profile after development, and improved etch resistance and is thus suitable as a micropatterning material for the fabrication of VLSI.

A sealed prismatic battery according to the present invention comprises a laterally long cap sealing an opening of an upper surface of a battery can and a safety vent placed on the cap and having a thin-walled valve body which opens in an abnormal rise of a battery internal pressure. The safety vent has an oval-shaped circumferential groove formed inside an oval-shaped coining section provided on an outer surface of the cap and on one end side in a lateral direction of the cap and a thin-walled valve body surrounded thereby, and the oval-shaped circumferential groove is composed of lateral side sections parallel to the lateral direction of the cap and circular arc sections connecting these lateral side sections, with one lateral side section, other lateral side section, and the thin-walled valve body of the safety vent respectively having a thickness increased in this order.

A time constant automatic adjusting circuit comprises: a filter circuit varying a phase of an clock signal to be input so as to output the clock signal; a phase comparison circuit comparing a phase of an output signal of the filter circuit with the phase of the clock signal, and outputting a predetermined voltage when the phase of the output signal and the phase of the clock signal are the same; at least three comparators comparing the output voltage with a plurality of different voltages; an up-down counter counting a number of output bits of either one of the at least three different voltages in accordance with an output result of the comparators; and a control circuit varying the time constant of the filter circuit in accordance with the number of output bits counted by the up-down counter.
