    Abstract: A CMOS analog sensor interface circuit embedded in a passive RFID platform can provide accurate data conversion from analog signals to their digital representations. This interface can also utilize the RFID platform to achieve wireless data transmission. The disclosed sensor interface circuit includes signal filtering, signal amplification, as well as signal digitization. These circuits are all designed under the constraints of low-power operation on a noisy silicon substrate. By using the disclosed circuit design, fully passive wireless sensing network that can integrate with heterogeneous sensors (resistance, voltage, current types) can be designed. The advantages of low-cost, small feature size, and the ability to interface with analog sensors can enable large-scale deployment of such kind of RFIDs, both for consumer electronics like in-door monitoring and industrial sensing applications like the grid, electric vehicle, motor, and other critical infrastructures.

    Abstract: The acid gas removal system for removing acidic gases from gaseous hydrocarbons (10) removes sour gases, such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and carbon dioxide (CO2), from an input gaseous stream. The system (10) includes a contactor (12) for contacting the input gaseous stream with an absorption liquid solvent (ALS), and a stripper (24) for recycling the absorption liquid solvent (ALS) and removing acidic gases (AG) therefrom, but with the addition of a pair of plate-plate heat exchangers (22, 26). The first heat exchanger (22) heats the used absorption liquid solvent (UALS) output from the contactor (12) prior to injection into the stripper (24). The used absorption liquid solvent (UALS) is heated via heat exchange with the acidic gases (AG) output from the stripper (24). The second heat exchanger (26) cools the recycled absorption liquid solvent (RALS) before injection back into the contactor (12).

    Abstract: Autoencoder-based anomaly detection methods have been used in identifying anomalous users from large-scale enterprise logs with the assumption that adversarial activities do not follow past habitual patterns. Most existing approaches typically build models by reconstructing single-day and individual-user behaviors. However, without capturing long-term signals and group-correlation signals, the models cannot identify low-signal yet long-lasting threats, and will incorrectly report many normal users as anomalies on busy days, which, in turn, leads to a high false positive rate. A method is provided based on compound behavior, which takes into consideration long-term patterns and group behaviors. The provided method leverages a novel behavior representation and an ensemble of deep autoencoders and produces an ordered investigation list.

    Abstract: A method and system for rapid customer data analysis. The method includes providing at least one processor capable of connecting to a network, connecting the processor to the network and providing a user interface in operable communication with the processor. Additionally, the method includes providing one or more processor-executable instructions to the processor, the one or more processor-executable instructions includes at least one algorithmic process for analyzing data in a manner that allows for descriptive and predictive analysis. Customer behavioral data and at least one Key Performance Indicator are provided to the processor. Analyzing customer behavioral data in view of the provided Key Performance Indicator includes identifying customer behavioral patterns, automatically classifying the behavioral patterns identified into discrete segments and compressing the resulting discrete segments into narrower, unique segments. A report is generated that includes patterns identified and actionable applications of the report.

    Abstract: The principal approaches to reducing the effects of global warming seek to slow the increase in atmospheric CO2 levels as a result of fossil fuel combustion for energy production and transportation. A process for hybrid carbon capture and mineralization are disclosed. The process utilizes both flue gas from (e.g., power plants) and reject brine from (e.g., desalination process). The process includes providing flue gas to react with an amine solution to produce carbamate; processing the carbamate in a reactor to regenerate amine and to produce a carbonate; treating reject brine to provide a ready-made brine for carbonation reaction; and processing the carbamate with salt from treating the brine to produce a carbonate.
