Abstract: A device configured to prevent ice accumulation includes at least one wall defining a leading edge and a pneumatic passage configured to receive pressurized fluid. The device also includes at least one ejection port formed in at least one of the leading edge and the at least one wall, the at least one ejection portion fluidly coupled to the pneumatic passage to receive the pressurized fluid therefrom, the at least one ejection port configured to form fluid jets to divert liquid water droplets away from the leading edge of the device.

Abstract: A total air temperature sensor includes a supercritical airfoil body extending from an airfoil base to an opposed airfoil tip along a longitudinal axis. The supercritical airfoil body defines an interior flow passage with an inlet for fluid communication of fluid into the interior flow passage and an outlet for exhausting fluid out from the interior flow passage. Abstract: A tuned sensor system is disclosed. The tuned sensor system may receive an unsteady pressure from an external environment via a pressure inlet port. The pressure may have a first component that is substantially static and a second component that varies at a relatively high frequency. The pressure inlet port may conduct the unsteady pressure to a tuned path. The tuned path may filter the unsteady pressure, blocking the second component and communicating the first component, such as for use by a pressure sensor. The tuned sensor system may be compact and may include one or more turn in the tuned path so that the distance between the pressure inlet port and the sensor is less than the length of the tuned path. The tuned path may be entirely within the supporting structure of the tuned sensor system, easing installation, removal, and maintenance of the compact and modular system.

Abstract: A method for data loading with a tablet includes receiving one or more software updates published by a ground station and storing the software updates on the tablet. The method also includes establishing communications between the tablet and a tablet interface module of an aircraft and determining if software on the aircraft needs to be updated. Based on determining that the software on the aircraft needs to be updated, the method includes transmitting at least one of the one or more software updates to the tablet interface module for loading into the aircraft and monitoring an installation process of the software updates in the aircraft via the tablet interface module.
