Abstract:
A magnetic clip for ear acupuncture points comprises a first clip body and a second clip body. An insulation cap is provided on one side of the first clip body, and then a first magnetic body is accommodated between the first clip body and the insulation cap. The second clip body is provided with a second magnetic body. The first magnetic body and the second magnetic body are coupled with lead wires respectively which in turn are both connected to an electric stimulator. The first magnetic body and the second magnetic body can sandwich the ear to be treated between them by magnetic force which is used simultaneously to conduct magnetic therapy on ear acupuncture points. The electric stimulator can also send electric current to the magnetic bodies through the lead wires, so as to conduct electric therapy via the stimulating probe.
Abstract:
A device includes an assembly including a non-rotatable applicator. The applicator includes an application surface configured to treat an area of the human body such as the skin. The applicator further includes at least one material with thermal properties such that, when the at least one material is heated to a temperature above 30° C. and which temperature does not cause thermal damage to the skin when the application surface is contacted with the skin for 15 seconds, the application surface maintains, after this application, a temperature above or equal to 30° C. The applicator can include a grasping surface and a cavity with a compound inside. The applicator can typically be configured to withstand repeated heating, especially by microwave oven.
Abstract:
A device and a method of applying the device for the treatment of obesity or overweight in mammals, especially humans refers to a suitable substrate to be worn at the body of the patient and includes a thyroid stimulating pulsating magnetic field, whereby the magnetic field can be controlled and programmed as to the duration, frequency and pulsation of the magnetic field.
Abstract:
A dermatological skin treatment device is provided. The device comprises a handpiece and a cutting tool, wherein the tool is inserted through the conduit and percutaneously inserted into a tissue disposed within a recessed area of the handpiece. The device and method cut the fibrous structures under the skin that cause cellulite at an angle substantially parallel to the surface of the skin and replace these structures with a non-cellulite forming structure by deploying a highly fibrous mesh through a single needle hole to create a highly fibrous layer directly or through wound healing processes.
Abstract:
Certain features described herein are directed to treatment devices and treatment methods to treat and/or prevent sensation loss. The devices may take many forms including, but not limited to, a footbath, sock, slipper, sandal, insole and the like. Many different types of current and waveforms may be used to effectuate treatment.
Abstract:
A spa cart system includes a wheeled cart with multiple shelves for carrying spa products and fully-functional equipment for providing spa services in a client's room or designated hotel site, such as a full body massage, manicure, pedicure, and many more. Selectable transportable modules include products and equipment to support a variety of diverse spa activities. The system includes features on the cart that 1) carry necessary equipment, including electrically-powered equipment and a massage table and position same for use, 2) allow portability such as a width less than 30 inches so that the cart fits through typical narrow hotel and resort doors; 3) when at the site of service, allow adjustable movement of the equipment to use locations, 4) provide a well-organized physical station supporting the various services (e.g., a manicure treatment station), and 5) modules selectable by the technician to satisfy various spa activities pre-selected by a client.
Abstract:
An apparatus for treating a human body with waves, comprising: (i) an inverse wave generating system comprising a substantially rigid, water-tight shell defining a substantially spherical cavity and having a plurality of individual wave generating elements located at predetermined locations on the inner surface thereof and a diameter sufficient to accommodate at least one human body without it contacting the inner surface of the shell or the individual wave generating elements; and (ii) an external frame for positioning the inverse wave generating system relative to the external environment. These apparatus are useful for applying waves to a human body for therapy.
Abstract:
A personal steam room and sauna includes: a reclining surface for the user; a source that produces therapy; and an enclosure adapted to enclose the reclining surface and the user; wherein the enclosure transitions between an open position, where the reclining surface is exposed for access by the user, and a closed position, where the reclining surface and the user are enclosed by the enclosure and the enclosure partially retains the therapy, thereby delivering the therapy to the user. The therapy may be water vapor, steam, heat, or aromatic oil, which may rise through the reclining surface to the user. The enclosure either slides forward and tilts upward, or tilts to the side to allow the user to get in and out of the device.
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods for delivering electromagnetic energy to a patient's tissue with a reduction in the pain experienced by the patient. The tissue treatment apparatus includes a delivery device configured to transfer electromagnetic energy through the skin surface to a region of tissue and a vibration device mechanically coupled with the delivery device. The vibration device is configured to transfer mechanical vibrations through the skin surface to the region of tissue.
Abstract:
Methods, systems and computer program products determine and identify a favorable time to deliver cardiac compression to a subject to avoid a vulnerable period of a spontaneous intrinsic cardiac cycle.
