Abstract: A time-space network including a set of state nodes and a set of state transition edges each of which connects between the state nodes, is generated. Each of the state nodes represents a state in which a vehicle is present at a certain point node at a certain time. State transition costs increasing according to a difference of time corresponding to before or after transition and arrival time are defined. In the time-space network, by using the Dijkstra algorithm, a minimum cost transition path in which a sum of the state transition costs is minimum among paths from a starting point state node to any of the state nodes indicating that the vehicle is present at an arrival point is obtained. The starting point state node represents a state that the vehicle is present at a departure point at a reference time. The route and the timing of the vehicle are determined based on the minimum cost transition path.

Abstract: In order to assess, with high accuracy, a degree of a change having occurred in a structure, the present invention includes: a Betti number calculating section (42) configured to (I) generate, with respect to a single captured image obtained by capturing an image of a structure, a plurality of binarized images having respective binarization reference values different from each other and (II) calculate, for each of the plurality of binarized images, a first characteristic numerical value indicative of the number of connected regions each of which is obtained by connecting pixels each having one of pixel values obtained by binarization; and a prediction score determining section (44) configured to determine, in accordance with a result of a comparison, information on a change having occurred in the structure, the comparison having been made between (i) a pattern indicative of a relationship between (a) the respective binarization reference values and (b) the first characteristic numerical value and (ii) a predetermined reference pattern.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of age-related cardiometabolic diseases. The inventors identified osteopontin (OPN) as a critical mediator of adipose tissue remodeling and senescence in obesity and extends this observation to related co-morbidities such as cardiomyopathy. Said result raises the possibility that inhibition of OPN activity may be of value in the prevention of cardiometabolic disease, in particular metabolic cardiomyopathy for which no specific treatment is yet available. In particular, the present invention relates to a method of treating an age-related cardiometabolic disease in an elderly subject in need thereof comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an osteopontin (OPN) inhibitor.

Abstract: A direct bonding method of metal and resin comprises a first step where the metal material is subjected to electrolytic treatment by using a carboxylic acid to form a new surface, which is then coated with the carboxylic acid to obtain a carboxylic acid-coated metal material; a second step where the resin material and the carboxylic acid-coated metal material are laminated to form an interface to be bonded; a third step where the interface is heated to Tg of the resin material or higher by heating means to remove water from the interface, the decomposition of the resin material generates a carboxyl group, and the new surface is exposed on the surface of the carboxylic acid-coated metal material by removal of the carboxylic acid; and a fourth step where the interface is cooled below the Tg to form a bonded part by bonding the carboxyl group and the new surface.
