Abstract:
A particulate material which is a particulate carrier material optionally comprising one or more hydroxyl groups to which a nitroso or nitroso precursor compound is bonded. A desirable particulate carrier material is a silicaceous material, for example, silica. Such materials are useful in bonding of elastomeric materials such as rubber and in vulcanisation.
Abstract:
A tire comprises at least one internal rubber composition having improved cracking resistance, the said internal composition comprising at least 50 to 100 phr of an isoprene elastomer such as natural rubber; optionally, 0 to 50 phr of another diene elastomer such as BR or SBR; 0 to less than 15 phr of a carbon black; between 40 and 100 phr of a nanoscale inorganic filler such as silica. The internal composition is free from or comprises less than 2%, expressed relative to the weight of the nanoscale inorganic filler of (elastomer/inorganic filler) coupling agent.
Abstract:
The present invention is based on a surprising discovery of new packaging materials used to package substances, such as foods, preventing the photo-oxidation of entities found in these substances. Specifically, these new packaging materials include a mixture of polymer resins having novel and specific ratios of filler, preferably calcium carbonate, and titanium dioxide resulting in the material having unexpected properties.
Abstract:
A fluorosilicone rubber composition is provided. This composition comprises (A) 100 parts by weight of a fluorosilicone rubber compound, (B) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an activated carbon at a pH of up to 9, and (C) a catalytic amount of a curing catalyst. The fluorosilicone rubber composition of the invention can be used in producing a fluorosilicone rubber molded article (cured article) which is less likely to experience loss of its physical properties when brought in contact with an amine antiaging agent. Such fluorosilicone rubber molded article is suitable for use in applications such as rubber parts used near cargo plane engines.
Abstract:
A thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) a polycarbonate resin; (B) a rubber-modified aromatic vinyl copolymer; and (C) a branched copolymer produced from a mixture that comprises a silicon compound having two or more unsaturated radicals. A molded product can be prepared using the composition.
Abstract:
A microencapsulated pigment including a leuco dye system is incorporated as one or more layers in a roll of adhesive tape. The tape is applied and may be rubbed by hand or another object to induce a color change. The change may serve as an indicator that the tape is well adhered for masking purposes in a painting operation, or to present a design where only selected portions of the tape are rubbed to induce the color change. The microencapsulated pigment may be constructed so that the color change is irreversible or reversible.
Abstract:
A pressure-sensitive adhesive material contains a monomer and/or a polymer and 55 mass % or more of thermally conductive particles. The thermally conductive particles contain first thermally conductive particles having a particle size of primary particle based on volume of less than 10 μm and having a first particle size distribution and second thermally conductive particles having a particle size of primary particle based on volume of 10 μm or more and having a second particle size distribution. The first thermally conductive particles are contained in the thermally conductive particles at a ratio of 10 to 80 mass %. The second thermally conductive particles are contained in the thermally conductive particles at a ratio of 20 to 90 mass %.
Abstract:
Provided are: a polishing pad which is capable of alleviating a scratch problem that occurs when a conventional hard (dry) polishing pad is used, and which is excellent in polishing rate and polishing uniformity and is usable not only for primary polishing but also for finish polishing; and a method for producing the polishing pad. The polishing pad is for polishing a semiconductor device and includes a polishing layer having a polyurethane-polyurea resin molded body containing cells of a substantially spherical shape. The polyurethane-polyurea resin molded body has a ratio of closed cells of 60 to 98%. The polyurethane-polyurea resin molded body has a ratio tan δ of a loss modulus E″ to a storage modulus E′ (loss modulus/storage modulus) of 0.15 to 0.30. The storage modulus E′ is 1 to 100 MPa. The polyurethane-polyurea resin molded body has a density D of 0.4 to 0.8 g/cm3.
Abstract:
Flame resistant compositions based on nylon-6 (PA 6) or nylon-6,6 (PA 66) may include melamine cyanurate, titanium dioxide, glass fibres, and non-fibrous and non-foamed ground glass having a specific particle size distribution, geometry and optionally sizing. Methods for producing the composition are also provided, as well as use of the compositions for production of products for the electrical industry, preferably electrical components such as residual current circuit breakers and other circuit breakers.
Abstract:
Provided is a novel transparent double-sided adhesive sheet which has corrosion resistance reliability that an adherend can be prevented from corrosion degradation, is also furnished with antifoaming reliability that foaming at a sticking interface does not occur, and also has an optical reliability that an increase in haze is little even in a hygrothermal environment. Proposed is a transparent double-sided adhesive sheet which is firstly characterized to have an adhesive layer containing a (meth)acrylate ester copolymer containing a carboxyl group-containing monomer as a copolymerization component at less than 2% by mass and silica fine particles having an average particle size of from 4 to 500 nm or less, and secondly characterized in that the adhesive layer is curable by heat or ultraviolet light.
