    Abstract: The invention relates to a damper arrangement for parts (1) of furniture that can be pivoted in relation to each other. Said arrangement comprises at least one damper (2) having a linear damping course, and at least two abutment parts (5, 6) which can be respectively fixed to one of the parts of the furniture, or can be supported thereon in an especially sliding manner.     Abstract: A hinge for a boom associated with a spacecraft antenna or other payload. The boom hinge includes two hinge bodies and at least three links, where one of the links is a drive link. The resulting hinge is an N+4 bar linkage. An actuator rotates the drive link so that the other links wrap around it, and the next link in the series of links acts as a drive link as the links get wrapped around the primary drive link. At the end of the deployment, the hinge precisely emulates the classic four-bar over-center latch behavior. This allows any hinge-offset distance between the hinge bodies when stowed in a larger hinge rotation angle without structural compromises.

    Abstract: A window operator for the opening and closing of a hinged window. The window operator has a rotatable lead screw 16 on which moves a slider 19. A driving element 18 is threaded on to the lead screw 16 and is coupled to the slider 19. A lost motion mechanism is operable upon the sliding movement of the slider being inhibited at final closing or initial opening of the window. The lost motion mechanism includes a tab 42 engaged in a helical slot 43. Movement of the tab in the helical slot causes an angular displacement of the driving element 18. A retention member 47 is moveable in response to the angular displacement and retains the slider 19 against movement while the driving element 18 continues to move along the lead screw. The tab 42 is thus moveable along slot 49 to operate a multipoint locking mechanism L.

    Abstract: A self-opening and self-closing device enabling entry into a controlled access area includes a gate with two laterally retractable panels that may be opened by inserting a ticket or access card into a control mechanism. Each of the panels is controlled by a respective motor operated by the control mechanism. Each panel is secured to at least two runner members that are each operated by a roller secured to a link arm. The link arms are rotationally interconnected and rotated by the respective motor. Simultaneous rotation of the arms in opposite directions moves the two panels together (or apart) and thus closes (or opens) the entry device by moving each panel into a position in which it is locked by the respective arm in the horizontal position.
