Abstract:
The invention relates to a roller mill, particularly intended for dressing ores.To reduce the energy demand for comminution and classifying a grinding product, a classifying device is positioned below the grinding area and to it is supplied the comminuted ground material under gravity action, as well as classifying air from an annular chamber in the lower region of the grinding bowl and which has at least one fine material outlet and coarse material outlet.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for introducing gas bubbles into a liquid, a device (1) for fastening a perforated aeration membrane (2) to an aerator base plate (3) as well as to an aerator base plate (3) therefor. The aerator base plate (3) has an undercut groove (4) in at least one rim region thereof, into which a locking body (7) clamping the membrane (2) in said groove (4) fits clampingly. The locking body (7) has a generally circular cross-section. The groove (4) has an at least substantially oval cross-section. The locking body (7) is designed to be generally cylindrical.

Abstract:
A method and system of cooling hardware, sensing hardware, and supporting code streams that enables a non-redundant liquid cooling system to be used seemlessly in conjunction with an air cooling backup solution. The result offers system speed and reliability benefits of liquid cooling except for the brief occasions when the primary cooling system has failed and air cooling takes over. Until the liquid cooling is repaired, system clocks are automatically slowed to be compatible with the circuit speeds possible at the higher temperatures associated with air cooling. When the liquid cooling is repaired, the system clocks are automatically returned to their normal fast state. Depending on the circuit technology used, a supplied voltage may be varied while being air cooled.
Abstract:
A unit for processing chip and/or magnetic stripe cards. The unit comprises a minimum of one card storage magazine to store cards to be processed, a minimum of one chip and/or magnetic stripe processing station to record data on the chip (semiconductor element) and/or the magnetic stripe of the card, and a minimum of one card body processing station to record visible, unmodifiable data on the card body. The unit further includes an optical identification station with an evaluation unit to verify accuracy and/or quality of the data recorded on the card body, with cards exhibiting incorrectly or defectively applied visible data being rejected as defective.
Abstract:
Conveyor apparatus includes at least two conveyors, each comprising a pair of longitudinal conveyor members, situated in different horizontal planes on which workpiece carriers are supported for conveyance. Each workpiece carrier has at least one longer outer dimension, e.g. length, greater than the distance between the conveyor members of one of the conveyors and at least one shorter outer dimesnion, e.g. width, less than the distance between the conveyor members of at least one of the conveyors. The apparatus further includes an arrangement for transferring the workpiece carriers between the conveyors including a device for rotating or pivoting a workpiece carrier to an angular position wherein the shorter outer dimension is aligned transversely with respect to the conveyor members of the conveyor on which it is supported so that the workpiece carrier can fit between them, and a lift device for moving the workpiece carrier from the conveyor on which it is supported to the other conveyor with the workpice carrier moving between the conveyor members of the former.
Abstract:
A device for testing the quality of microstructurization of a surface (2) having a known target microstructurization quality, comprising a radiation source (1) for coherent radiation, a first detector (10) and a second detector (4) and a masking system, all of which are set up and arranged with respect to one another so that radiation emitted by the radiation source (1) onto the surface (2) produces a diffraction pattern, wherein the diffraction maximum of order n of the diffraction pattern without the masking system would impinge on the first detector (10), the masking system prevents 80% of the photons that are assigned to the diffraction maximum of order n from impinging on the first detector and the diffraction maximum of order a of the diffraction pattern impinges on the second detector (4), wherein n is selected from the group consisting of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and a is selected from the group consisting of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and a≠n.
Abstract:
A device is described for testing the quality of microstructurization of a surface (2) in the case of a known target microstructurization quality, comprising a radiation source (1) for coherent radiation, a first detector (10) and a second detector (4) and a masking system, which are set up and arranged with respect to one another so that(a) radiation emitted by the radiation source (1) onto a surface (2), which is provided with a microstructurization of the target quality, produces a diffraction pattern,(b) the diffraction maximum of order n of the diffraction pattern without the masking system would impinge on the first detector (10),(c) the masking system prevents 80% of the photons that are assigned to the diffraction maximum of order n from impinging on the detector and (d) the diffraction maximum of order a of the diffraction pattern impinges on the second detector (4), wherein n is selected from the group consisting of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and a is selected from the group consisting of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 and a≠n. Corresponding methods and uses are also described.
