Abstract: A cover member (18) is formed of a pliable fabric material having a plurality of polymer fibers, and is configured to maintain the shape of the airbag by mutual fusion of at least part of the polymer fibers. The cover member (18) is configured to have a high stiffness portion (25) of higher stiffness than other portions of the cover member, as a result of partial overlaying of the pliable fabric material in more folds than at other portions.

Abstract: A side airbag device having a plurality of chambers. The side airbag 100 includes: an inflator 110; a rear chamber 114 which deploys at a side part 108 of a seat back 106 and a middle restraining part 122 that protrudes toward the front of a vehicle and a main part 120 at a rear side. A sectioning wall 124 which constitutes a front edge and an upper edge of the rear chamber 114. A front chamber 116 inflates into areas toward the front of the vehicle and the upper part of the vehicle from the sectioning wall 124. An upper opening 126 is formed on the sectioning wall 124 in a rear part of the upper edge of the rear chamber 114. A lower opening 128 is formed on the sectioning wall 124 in a lower part of the front edge of the rear chamber 114.

Abstract: A vehicular side airbag apparatus including chambers corresponding to an occupant's shoulder, lumbar, and chest and having three-dimensional shapes formed by baffles inside a side airbag and providing a thickness. The first baffle extends in a vehicular front-rear direction and is joined to a rear edge 103a of a side airbag 103 at a rear end 107b of the first baffle. The second baffle extends in a vehicular up-down direction and has an overlap portion 109 which is set at a longitudinally intermediate position of the second baffle and to which a longitudinally front end 107c of the first baffle is connected along with a vehicular interior panel 105 and a vehicular exterior panel 106. Longitudinal both ends 108b and 108c of the second baffle are joined to an outer peripheral edge of the side airbag 103.

Abstract: A side airbag device stowed in a side part of a vehicle seat and includes: an airbag for restraining an occupant by expanding and deploying; and an inflator provided in a side wall part of a seat frame in the vehicle width direction extending in the vehicle traveling direction when a horizontal cross section of the vehicle seat is viewed from above, and that supplies expansion gas to the airbag. The airbag includes a main chamber that expands and deploys towards the front and a pre-push chamber that expands and deploys before the main chamber to the inside of the main chamber in the vehicle width direction. Furthermore, the pre-push chamber has a structure with an extension portion extending from the inflator towards the rear of the vehicle seat.

Abstract: The present invention is a side airbag device housed in the side support part of a vehicle seat and includes an airbag for restraining an occupant and an inflator. The airbag includes a first bag housing the inflator which is capable of inflating and deploying, and a second bag capable of inflating and deploying on the side of the first bag. The second bag is configured to be deployed by inflation gas flowing in from the first bag. At the upper edge of the second bag, an inclined part is formed that is inclined to be lower at the front thereof than at the rear thereof when viewed from the vehicle width direction. The front portion of the inclined part is configured to be located lower than the center line extending in the longitudinal direction of the upper arm of the occupant seated in a vehicle seat.

RESOLUTION MEANS
The present invention is an airbag device to be stowed in a vehicle seat, comprising:
an airbag cushion that restrains an occupant by expanding and deploying;
an inflator arranged on the inner side of the seat frame which supplies expansion gas to the airbag cushion; and
a cover member made of a ductile material that melts and shrinks under heat and pressure to retain the airbag cushion. The airbag cushion includes a rear chamber section where the inflator is stowed, and a front chamber section that extends forward from the rear chamber section that is arranged outside of the seat frame when stowed. The cover member is then configured to heat and pressurize the region corresponding to the front chamber section of the airbag cushion, thereby pressurizing and retaining the relevant section of the airbag cushion.-

Abstract: A far side side airbag device provided on the side part in the center in the width direction of a backrest portion of either of separated seats arranged in the width direction of a vehicle, which restrains the movement of an occupant. A cushion and an inflator expands and deploys the cushion. The cushion has a first portion and a second portion that expand and deploy onto the front surface of each of the adjacent separated seats when a signal is received to restrain the occupant and capture the side part of the occupant, and a center portion provided in between the first portion and the second portion. A protruding part is formed on the center portion in order to capture the head of the occupant.
